Closet temperature lower because of weather...what to do?
    #1890574 - 09/07/03 09:11 AM (20 years, 4 months ago)

All this weekend and this coming week, the temperature has been 66, 70, 75, around there, when it used to be in the 90's with 90%+ humidity. Now the humidity is half that. My mycobags appear to have dried out, and growth is slowed because of the low temperatures.

What can I do????

so it's cooler and less humid, but they're still in the bag? forget humidity for now. if they dried out, that wasn't why.

presumably you have no incubator - if i were you, i'd build a simple cheap-ass one, from 2 tubs and a submersible fishtank heater. then you need never again worry about your substrate colonising at anything other than an ideal 86F

Do you have a link on how to build one, with pictures?

And how could it not be the humidity. The air that went into the bag used to be humid, and there was condensation on the inside. Now that drier weather has come, the condensation is gone.
