Laccaria amethysteo-occidentalis

Some tiny little fellas

I believe the 2nd pic is Hemitrichia clavata or a close relative.

I was thinking about heading up to Larch Mt. soon. Probably over hunted for chants but there are other very interesting fungi out there.
I'm heading up to Larch today to check out my chanterelle spot. So far I have been lucky not to have much competition. Other interesting stuff I have seen on Larch are Inocybe calamistrata, Boletus edulis & mirablis, Sparassis crispa, Hydnum repandum, and last year finally found some Psilocybe pelliculosa.
Larch is my go to place. I can be there & hunting in less than an hour and I always find cool stuff. I'll let you know what I find today.

Also headed out to larch mountain today, nothing like a good storm to knock some widow makers out of the trees
But seriously, safety third.

I usually only find and take home 1-5 pounds. That's all I need for my family & friends. Just be warned there are two Larch Mountains in Oregon. There is one in Tillamook State Forest along Rte. 6 and there is one in the Columbia River Gorge in Multnomah County. Larch Mtn. in the gorge is what we are talking about. Don't know if the other is any good but it sounds like your spot is bomber!

I like the tillamook side of picking to. Anything with that coastal marine layer fog hitting it, I had most of them already sold for people who wanted to buy weight lol

A. muscaria growing in a hardwood grove. There were no conifers around, not for about a mile.

Boletus rubellus and friends. Maybe Psathyrella sp.

Went out with Ganzig in the middle of the storm, had a fun time. Found tons of chants and a few interesting others:
  Amanita silvicola
Lactarius rubrilacteus (with green aborts *squee*)

The big one was pretty nasty and buggy when I cut it up so I just threw the two tiny ones in with the chants.
The candy caps are drying right now, smell like maple syrup.

Yeah, those are pins that aborted so they're showing the green-staining reaction that the species has when bruised.

It is an abort of the same species. They readily bruise blue/green.
Some I found on the foray I hosted last.
