Good Friday

So god doesn't want people to eat meat on Good Friday (though fish isn't meat, apparently). OK, I get that part.
What I don't get is what happens to people of other faiths who never heard of that shit. Does god get mad at them or smite them or something?
What about animals who god created to be exclusive carnivores. I mean, did god fuck up there or do animals get a freebie? Or do they just not go to heaven. And if so, how do I explain to my little niece that the whole family (well OK, not me) will be in heaven waiting for her when she dies, but not fluffy the kitten?
What if there is some weird alien civilizations out there somewhere made of silicon who never even heard of meat? Do they have to abstain from... uh... what elemental fluorine gas because meat isn't applicable?
Plus how do they figure out which day is Good Friday considering that their planet's year is probably different from ours.
I ask these questions in all seriousness. Can a True Believer please explain how god's rules apply to other planets and forms of life?

God prescribes penance for individuals, the abstinence from meat is church policy to meet that demand. I don't know the answers to the other questions.

That's not god's fault. Before the fall, all the animals were vegetarians. Your fluffy kitten would have used those razor sharp claws and canine teeth to bite spinach, but Eve fucked that up with the apple nonsense and thus death entered the world. Now animals eat meat- I guess its lucky for them that they were born with those claws and teeth, they would have been really screwed.
We know that animals and man were not eating meat originally according to Genesis 1:29–30. So, meat-eaters today were all vegetarian originally, which also points to death not being part of the original creation. http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/2010/03/02/satan-the-fall-good-evil-could-death-exist-before-sin

If I were God, I would eat the hell out of myself. I'd be delicious. Reconciliation with the apparent horrors of life is one of the functions of myth. To abstain from meat is simply to abstain from 'coarse' energy. It's all about energy, yo.

Where in scripture does it say anything about no eating meat on Friday? Nowhere. It is an invention of the Roman Catholic Church. All food is to be received with thanksgiving.

I didn't refer to Thanksgiving. A general giving of thanks for having food was in mind.

Take your pick. Scripture is so vague and self-contradicting that you can take pretty much anything you want from it and justify it by pointing to some passage that sorta-kinda says what you want god to say. It's a hell of a system.
It is an invention of the Roman Catholic Church.
Yeah, well, take a look at your writing. That's what all religion is. Including your particular flavor. You make some shit up, attribute it to god, then convince yourself you are 100% right. Suicide bombers use the same method, BTW.
So who's right at the end of the day, you or the church (or the suicide bomber)? You say they are full of shit. They say you are full of shit.
Meanwhile, god, if he exists, seems to be a sadistic prick leaving people to wonder which version of religion is the one he likes. I'll bet god moonlights as a stand-up comedian, eh?

How would you then explain all the specific variations in species dependant on their food source? We can clearly see, from studying animals in the present, how much their teeth and claws vary dependent on their main food source. Why would any animal that has sharp teeth eat leaves? Surely this would be a disadvantage to the animal as it would be extremely inefficient and would not aid digestion?
That surely doesn't fit in with God's 'perfect' or 'very good' world?

It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe
