Man, screw america, they monitor and report gold purchases over 600$?
Man, when I was 15 I brought it stolen gold coins to my bank to exchange. No questions asked.

i think the reporting thing is a myth, it was brought up in some recent bill but did not pass. you can easily go into any coin store and buy/sell gold for cash without showing ID or even getting a receipt if you wish.

Even if you buy gold, it's likely to be seized anyway if you get busted.
You should buy real estate.

The point in buying gold is that 10k in gold in like 9 small coins, that could fit in your pant pockets if you wanted, 10k in cash is a lot of stacks. As well gold should hold its value against inflation vs cash, if he needs to sit on the cash for a while.
And buy realestate? Are you retarded? Talk about paper trails and banks, and explaining how he came up with the cash.
You could have 50k in gold and hide in in a flowerpot outside or bury it.

yeah the real estate seems like it wouldn't be as clean. I like the gold burying ritual every few months.

Purchase a detailing tailor off of craigslist and advertise your detailing service. Draft receipts for your "customers".
Say you charge $50 bucks to detail a car. Say you detail 20 cars a week, that's 4k a month into your bank account. As a legit business owner need to file it on your IRS forms and pay taxes. If uncle sam is getting his, than you don't have as much to worry about. Bypas the IRS and your asking for trouble.

Wow that is the best cover biz i've heard of. I like it, cuz i could buy two and make 8k/ from the expansion. How big could a cover biz like this get without attracting attention?

This is the main thing you need to worry about. Businesses are started every day with drug money. You just need to keep your paperwork straight.
Do what normal people would do - take out a business loan. Get something started up. Keep your cash to pay for the loan, so you won't have to worry so much about interest. Let your business actually make money (got any friends who need a job?) and run with that.

I had a coke dealer buddy who funnelled his cash through his small construction related jobs. He would do a few real jobs, and then just cook the books and say he did a couple cash jobs.
You will get taxed on this cash, but after it will be clean. Dude was able to buy a house this way.
But car detailing would have much smaller start up and would be harder to track I would think.

Start a loan operation. The standard going rate for small loans (under 3,000 of course) is %20 as a private lender. You can do legitimate loans and then fabricate some as well. All you would have to do is make the contracts out to numerous John Does, forge signatures, and then boom.
Another idea for a "cleaner type business" is a computer repair store. Or commercial organizer.
I agree with most posts here though, bury the bulk of that shit and DON'T TELL ANYONE WHERE IT IS.
As a former dealer, you never know if/when you will get busted. You want to be able to know you will be taken care of in the pen and your shit won't get seized. Therefore create a D Day drop as well where you can tell someone like your mom or dad to go and dig it up for you to bail you out. I'd suggest around 5-10 grand in that bad boy.
Also... invest in a good lawyer for Christ's sake. Be careful you crazy kid!

Put a huge portion in offshore bank accounts spread out thru Europe or in just one (If your lazy) and also invest in a small safe then put some in there and bury it some where where youd be able to get it if you needed it for things like fleeing the country/state, and other unexpected expected exoences, then I'd get another portion of it and give it to either a TRUSTED lawyer/ family member so that they cna bail you out of jail if you get busted.
Oh and if you're doing all of this and still have a large chunk of money left over then you should make wise investments (stocks, Businesses, and other things)

You can't give loans without having large amounts of money. Accounting for your large amounts of money in the first place is the problem.

You people really dont understand money laundering at all.
The best money laundering company is one with low start up costs, it is a service, it is a service that many people would pay for in cash, and it is either a service that doesnt require specific skills, or a service with skills you possess.
You can't have a computer service shop if you cant service computers, because if you get busted they will realize it was a fake company.
You want things to look realistic so that if anyone ever looks into it, it seems legit.
Thats why dealers in the construction industry can launder money easily, they just register their own business, say they did a few side jobs related to their regular job, pay some taxes. Clean money.

Also OP.
Take a few G's and give a lawyer a retainer. If something does ever go down it is good to have one to call who you have at least partially paid, especially if they try to seize your money.
the coke dealers i met in jail taught me this one.

All of that is good info! The buried stuff will be disclosed to one person for D day. Good old Pops..
I will definitely get a retainer as well.
Idk about the loans... i still like the idea of the detailing trailer, because it suits my lifestyle so well. i could legitimately make money from the investment in the trailer by having a buddy run it. Ill be mostly hands off besides the finances of the business so the plan works smoothly with minimal personal input of time, yet cleans my benjis efficiently and reliably.
