Hi all,
I have had a super busy year and between pickin' 'shrooms, I've had time only for work and school, so I haven't been posting here much. To recompense, I'll post here some of my better pictures of my finds. Here's one of two installments largely in reverse chronological order; I'll post 2of2 after I put away the basket. Enjoy:
Inonotus obliquus

Gymnopilus junonius (=spectabilis) Pholiota sp.:

Hericium americanum

Hericium coralloides:

Hydnum repandum:

Ramaria stricta:

Laetiporus sulphureus:

"Chicken Patties of the Woods":

"Buffalo Chicken Patty of the Woods"

Amanita jacksonii:

Amanita jacksonii, Cantharellus sp.:

Clavaria zollingeri:

Hydnellum suaveolens

Pleurotus sp.:

Trametes versicolor:

Strobilomyces floccopus

Clavulinopsis fusiformis (methinks, but medoubts)

A chanterelle fairy ring?:

Lily season is chanterelle season:

Astromyces pyxidatus (= Clavicorona pyxidata)

My favorite place to dwell:

Ganoderma tsugae:

Morchella sp.:

Polyporus squamosus:

Absolutely beautiful pics sir! And great finds. You are a very talented photographer. Some of those are definitely field guide quality. Love the zollingeri photo.

Oh yeah? They were yellow and smelled like almond extract so I assumed they were gyms. Better do my homework...

How about this:

not my best photograph, but I took spore print- rusty orange. KOH turned it red, then promptly black on cap surface. Fragrant like almond extract or cherry... Growing on decaying wood in September.
