Last November two Republican voters in separate states decided to prove how easy it would be to vote illegally. Both were arrested and charged with voter fraud. In February 2012 a jury found Indiana’s Republican secretary of state, Charlie White, guilty on six counts of voter fraud, theft, and perjury. Four staffers of Republican congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI) were indicted last August, charged with submitting over 1,500 “forged and falsified” signatures in what the Michigan attorney general, also a Republican, called a “blatant” and “disgraceful” attempt to qualify the congressman for last year’s ballot.
And these are official members of the GOP! Not an outside agency that promotes themselves as liberal.
Voter fraud, which is what the GOP is trying claim is occurring and why voter ID is needed, is a statistically non-existent. Voter ID will not stop the election fraud that is being perpetrated.
How do you know it is non-existent if you don't require ID?

Right. 20,000 votes and not one for Romney. Nope, nothing to see here, move along, move along.

Something went wrong.
The page you are looking for could not be found.
Even if I could get to the page, I don't believe other conspiracy theories, why would I believe one that you post
Until you can prove that there is a significant amount of voter fraud, there is no reason to believe there is a significant amount of voter fraud.

I had a fake ID from the age of 16-21. What is an ID going to say that the current system doesn't?
How do you know voter fraud exists if you don't require ID? See, I can ask stupid fucking questions too.

Fucked if I know why it didn't work for you
It's easy to bust an asshole with a fake ID. It is almost impossible to bust an asshole with no ID. Proving you have a right to vote is not that high a bar

DOMA was the "law of the land" and the admin said they wouldn't even defend it- which is illegal by the way. Agree with it or not, it was the law of the land. Citizen's united is the law of the land. Hypocrites.
DOMA was unconstitutional.
Unconstitutional or not--and I didn't agree with DOMA. But because it is unconstitutional, that does NOT mean Obama or any president can decide to enforce it or implement it or not. If the law is passed by congress and signed by a president and becomes law, the supremes have to decide if it is unconstitutional or not.
And that doesn't mean the House can't block funding even if a law IS constitutional. They have the power to block. Period. End of story.
Now, I didn't agree with DOMA--it is unconstitutional. Why? Because it violates someones 'rights?' NO.
It's unconsitutional because it isn't a power specified for the federal government in the constitution. The STATES get to decide what marriage is.
Just remember that next to the commie mother fuckers in the government want to impose another overbearing, socialist policy that the constitution doesn't grant them authority for.
To be fair on that last points, this applies equally to democrats AND republicans.

I don't think that is why it is unconstitutional. If it were, the SC would have cited the 10th Amendment, and not the 5th.
And the Executive office has every right not to defend something in court, prosecutorial discretion is not illegal. If they chose not to enforce something, you might have a reason to be upset, but the Executive branch simply said they wouldn't defend it in court.

The Oath of the Office of President of the United States.....
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
Now let me see...hmmm "DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION" which means the RULE OF LAW.....
So I guess Obama is a scumbag liar who doesn't HONOR HIS OATH TO THE PEOPLE...

Are you dense or what? The President does NOT get to choose what is constitutional and unconstitutional. If something is law, the supreme court has to decide. He is NOT the judge.
It may well be unconstitutional--but he can't change it without going to the courts. If he has that power, then the president can make or reject any law he wants. That is called Tyranny, or a dictator.

But it was unconstitutional.
If the courts said it was constitutional after he vowed not to defend it, you might have an argument here. But they didn't, and you don't.

Hate blog talking points? What has that got to do with anything? I was just pointing out you seem to think the president can decide a law is unconstitutional and refuse to enforce it. he can't. I didn't like DOMA either, but the president can't make the decision. If the president can pick and choose what laws to enforce or make up laws on whim, then obviously there is no need to have a congress or even a supreme court. Just let the president decide.
HOW FUCKING STUPID WOULD THAT BE?

Indeed. Some people seem to think that every four years the American populace elects a king.
"Checks and balances? Separation of powers? Rule of Law? Uhhhh... what does that have to do with anything? Obama won the election, yo!"
