ok so i grew for the first time and was disappointed with the result, I think it was because its getting cold here. So I found this strain tht thrives in cold weather and cant really find any straight forward posts that explains exactly what to do. My question is can anyone give me a step by step way to grow Psilocybe Cyanescens shrooms, and explain the entire process of the grow such as what substrate to use, how to prepare for inoculation (does sterility matter), and what I should expect to see throughout the incubation, fruiting and when to harvest them. Pics would help alot to if you have any.

From what I read, it's best to do grains first. Do g2g transfers into bags of woodchips. Then you can put those outside. I think it's a bit too late in the season, as psilocybe cyans are slow colonizers to begin with. Many people I've seen tend to start the process in January and make your patch in the spring.

From what I read cyanescens like to grow from the sides so its best to dig multiple 4-6 inch trenches in your garden.
You might want to try ans Cover the patch with a tarp when colonizing and make sure to give it water as well.

so can i not grow em in a mono tub indoors, because that was my plan. I was thinking of makes substrate cakes outta wood chips instead of verm and brown sugar, then inoculate them as i did before. Then when it was time to fruit i was gonna put it in the garage, lately it has been reaching the low forties at night. Is this not practical, sry I'm still learning.

If you want to cultivate Psilocybe Cyanescens you are going to have to do a different type of work compared to other mushrooms.
You are going to have to do some digging, some bulk wood chip sterilizing, and you'll need agar I think.
The only easy way to grow them is if they grow wildly in your area, then you just put some in a blender with water and blend it to a finely, then sterilize bark and pour the mix on the bark, they will grow.
