Next time use alcohol.
Very good info!
I checked my alcohol bottle. It says ETHEL Alcohol.
Don't know how I grabbed that by mistake. That's what I've been using for g2g and agar work. hmmm..

I never clean my tubs, even when they contam. I rinse them out and wipe them down and spawn again.
The issue is undoubtedly in your spawn.
It was a bad jar
Well, I have a question in regards to your statement.
I went to check on some agar trasnsfers I made on 9/25
One of the jars had the same green mold growin profusely.
EVEN ON THE AGAR WEDGE...
My question is,
If my monotub contam came from a jar, then why wasn't I able to see it like I can see it in the jar?

Also, I had a jar from the same g2g batch that broke on me 75% colonized.
I picked the colonized pieces up off the floor, put them in a tray DUNKED THEM
Then fruited the tray using the Bubble Wrap TEK.
Straight WBS
Like I said, from the same g2g batch. That jar was supposed to make it in the tub.
So, WTF? All the jars couldn't have been bad, which means the master jar wasn't bad.
So if the problem with this tub came from a jar, not a bad cleaning...
HOW CAN I PREVENT THIS NEXT TIME?
WHY COULDN'T I SEE THE CONTAM?
WHY DIDN'T I SMELL IT WHEN I SNIFFED THE JAR?
I'm so confused right now

Because molds don't go green on grains very often.
You need to use proper sterile technique.
Molds that contam your grains after a G2G won't be going green before you spawn to bulk IME. Those are the sneaky little bastards.
Ditch the cultures that are going green. Start fresh. Odds are the mold and mycelium are mingling together so closely they are not able to be easily separated.
