Have your friend of a friend post, then we can give you some answers. You're not saving your ass, you're just making your post more complicated to read.

Seriously dude when most people read that a FOAF met up with SWIM and jerked off the neighbor's cat we all just want to scream. I'm on my first stone grow and I know that I will be looking to a) clone the biggest stone and b) clone one that is in a cluster of stones. When in doubt, clone lots. Then run them side by side and see what you like.

Thanks stoners. I'm sorry my phrasing upset the peace. I asked the question for someone who has actually tripped them, not just grew them. Obviously most people would clone whatever took up greatest surface area. It has been noted in my previous post that many stones that take up the greatest surface area thin and weak, or are not nearly as interesting as the multi-colored, many layered smaller ones, which are fewer. I'm not interested in whatever is going to produce the most or be the biggest, I'm concerned with what characteristics indicate a more intelligent trip. Who has tripped the fatty three-tiered speckled brown, tan and white ones? Are they as awesome as they look, perhaps worth cloning over bigger producers? Or do you all really just think the experience is the same across the board? I don't have time to test this out, neither does my friend or my cat and yes I'm smart and can figure it out but this is a community of like-minded people, and this forum, especially this section, is for science, and questions, which I'm welcome to phrase however I want. Any intelligent, less snarky opinions?

you got quite an attitude. If you don't have time to test this out, then you shouldn't be growing stones or be involved in the process. Cut the shit, there's no point in mentioning the friend of a friend bull shit. It doesn't accomplish anything and makes it harder to respond. The best way to have the best quality fruits is to make a bunch of clones or isolates and compare them all and then stick with the most desirable one.

Re-word your post so it's not annoying as piss to read and you might get a good answer. Being a little more humble would help as well.

priestess said: Friends,
Thank you to all of my fellow [philosopher's] stone aficionados for your valuable feedback. I apologize if my poor word choice lead to any miscommunications. I will attempt to clarify my stance, so that we can avoid any further issues.
The nature of my original question is more about alkaloid content as opposed to size of the sclerotium produced by the fungal entity. I theorize that the larger the sclerotia, the "stone", the more diluted its active components are. Thusly, to test my hypothesis, I am designing an experiment to select generations of Psilocybe mexicana cultures for greater alkaloid production, regardless of the size of the sclerotium.
I am asking the community for bioassay reports that may further lend credence to this theory. Namely, has there been a noted difference between larger, more commercially desirable "stones" and those of smaller size, with more intricate structures or patterning?
Neither my research partner or I have the necessary time to conduct our own experiment. So, we defer to empirical data sourced from persons intimately acquainted with the research material. Any useful data will be greatly appreciated!
Yours, priestess
P.S. My associate's feline friend is doing quite well these days, spending the days doing as cats so love to do.
I think I got the gist of it.

Unfortunately, harvested stones don't stay fresh long, and pregnant people probably shouldn't trip them to do research for themselves, which I think can be agreed upon no matter how I phrase it. Not to mention cultivation of these things takes 5-6 months for optimum potency, upon which I'll still be in my current situation, which lasts another 8 months, and my question would still apply. That could also explain my attitude toward the negative energies directed at my question. Hormones are a bitch, I apologize for my own negativity. And in this case ironically enough, these stones really are "a friend of a friend's," in the end, not mine. Just trying to ask a question for the service of others. I just figured someone out there in the vast ether of the shroomery has wondered something similar and conducted their own tests, who could tell me either "stick to cloning stones with [which certain?] growth characteristics if you care about Spirit in cultivation," or "it doesn't seem to matter any way you go about it, all stones trip the same, or the differences in trips can't be predicted using visual indications." If you don't have an answer to that, just let the thread die. I'm emo and don't want to deal with someone like 36fuckin5 telling me I'm "annoying as shit." Encryptic language is encouraged when wording questions on many other sites I use, and there is no forum rule on the shroomery specifically that prohibits situational encryption. It does, however, state that "this forum exists for people to learn and be welcomed, not to be ridiculed or trolled." Thank you.
