Psychedelics as a religion

Hokay so,
I was wondering if anyone has thought about or even tried creating a legal religion with psychedelics as the "holy books" or sacrament or whatever. I know that there are "churches" like peyoteway and ONAC that use peyote as their sacrament. But I've come to use all psychedelics to progress my spiritual self and would like to not go to jail for practicing what in the Constitution is my right. I've done a bit of research into the whole idea, which revealed that there are avenues that one can take to not get fucked, I'm just curious as to how sound they are and how I could jump on board or get the ball rolling Thanks for your contributions Namaste

Hell yea! thanks!
I'm definitely looking for an all encompassing. Honestly, if I could I'd prefer just LSD but I don't think I can get away with that, but I do feel like I could kinda brush it under the rug, by creating a large group of sacraments, that are pertinent and inseparable parts of my religious practices.

I think life is all specific to individual perception. but good for you man.
I do know without LSD, our western culture would have a potentially far smaller understanding of life in all actuality.

Same here. LSD is sacred!
I don't think too many people or groups have been successful in their attempt to be granted exceptions from the law, but maybe as marijuana legalization gains steam, things will change.
I think Native American Church members are legally allowed to use peyote.

Well, as far as I'm aware the Supreme Court ruled that in specific instances certain substances can be used in religious means and they've put all of those into a group. I just wanna turn that into a way that myself and anyone who feels the same can practice our ceremonies or what have you without the worry of going to jail.

How would one go about this?
Are there any religions/groups that are permitted to use DMT?

As far as I am aware, any substance that can be or is used in a "shamanic", "ceremonious" way, can be religiously worshiped and legally recognized. That goes for Ayahuasca, Mushrooms, Peyote even Marijuana and a bunch more. So what I'm saying is that the SC has set it up so that, yes, in fact one could state that DMT is a pertinent and inseparable part of their religious beliefs and then legally that would be their religion. However, I only know of Peyote churches in America and that DPT church and I think there's an Aya church as well. It is my plan to, by the summer of 2014 to have a "bon-a-fide" religious group set up so that myself and anyone who so chooses can "worship" their moral beliefs without the fear of going to jail.

native american church members can use peyote. And down here in new mexico you don't have to prove native american ancestry . plus in santa fe new mexico theres the only ayahuasca church allowed to use it in the united states.

I always thought a Church of Self-Discovery would be awesome. Where one could decide what it is that is going to take them on their journey... Perfectly legal in theory, but the constitution is dead nowadays so good luck getting away with anything that hasn't been established for years upon years.
