is this the tasty edible bolete?

Habitat: my lawn
Gills: yellow/white pores.
Stem: chubby, dense, short. Yellow near pores.
Cap: sticky, wavy, brown skin.
Bruising: yellow?
Other information: Scent is yummy.

Is the cap slimy, slippery, or kind of sticky? Which trees are nearby?
My tentative guess is Suillus brevipes.
Edit: After looking at that cap, I'm almost certain. Any conifers nearby?

Yes, a suillus. Edible but tends to get slimy when cooked. Remove the slimy peel to prevent this.

Slice 'em lengthwise to make sure the stem isn't buggy (happens often to boletes). Here's a good mini-guide to determining the edibility of boletes:

There are some good resources on YouTube, and unfortunately I can't remember the name of the mycological society that put them out. Connecticut I think. Something like that.
