Ask an american living in Brazil anything!
    #18892703 - 09/26/13 05:31 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Where the women are beautiful and your chances are 95% if you are good looking you will score a dime piece.
Where the beaches are plentiful with gorgeous women with huge asses.
Where the cocaine is very cheap, of quality and readily available.
Where every american should come to visit!

You ain't never had pussy until you had a brazilian ride.

Two of my friends came here for a short amount of time and fell in love
Now procuring a work visa to come live here permanently.
This country is full joy and paradise, you cannot go wrong.

what do ya got for me?

There are many things to factor in. The quality of living, the people, enviornment, and everything else.

I have been to peru and argentina, the people are very different than here. The countries are nice though.

Everyone is happy and cool here in RIO

I remember talking to you quite a while ago I95. (could've been someone else actually considering my memory is shot, but I think it was you.)

Hope you are still enjoying the life in Rio. I lived in Barra Da Tijuca for the first 5 years of my life, I miss that place.

I'm moving to Florianopolis, SC on october 8th. Can't wait!

I actually do have some questions for you considering I haven't lived in BR for longer than 3 months in over 20 years. I'll have to get to them later tho. Just posting so I have this thread saved.

normally i just cop from the dealers everywhere here. probably a half a gram for 13USD. More of a ripoff but the quality compares, just street dealers way here.

The rare occassion i go to the favela with a friend. But its a one time a month deal. next time i will go and get an ounce for 200 REAIS ... lmfao

Tudo otimo aqui.

The time I spent in Barra I was a toddler. Just remember it being a beautiful place. I actually lived at the Rio Hotel Residencia. Don't know if you're familiar with that building.

The past 20 years or so I've either vacationed in Sao Paulo, Curitiba, or Joinville due to family living in those areas.

I'm actually moving to Florianopolis to open a restaurant, get married, have kids..Old people thangz lol, but I'm really excited about it. The few times I have been there have been amazing including the women, food, and beaches.

I'll hop on this thread later. I just had a few questions about cost of living which I'll get to later.

good man. i tell my friends, there is no guarantee you will return home. hhaha
my first experience started like the rest of my friends, i was working a huge event for a month 1/2
and i was madly in love with the country, the food the culture, had 2 girlfriends..they eat us alive here
so i started my work visa process hahaha

like a fairtytale almost...rio de janeiro is a mans paradise.
i have been to amsterdam, the women are great(to buy), the weed is amazing, and this is a mans paradise for sure...
BUT can you trade all of that for amazing cocaine, macking on the most beautiful women of your life, and ending up in paradise..

Come here once and you will return always hahahah

Is the divergence of the classes still problematic or the beginning of the emergence of the middle class at the end of the 1990s marked a new turning point in social equalities?

Did you visit the Rocinha favela?

Do you live in the city per se, or in a suburbs of it? How do you rate the danger in a city like Rio?

Barra is the most well kept place in rio de janeiro hands down. It is so clean, beautiful and wealthy.

Damn yeah i am dating a mineria (from minas gerias) , muito gostosa loirinha kkkk
It is the only place i have been outside of rio de janeiro still..

Man if you ever travel to rio, zona sul specifically hit me up! Or otherwise ill hit you up when i head to florianopolis hahah. You are one lucky guy, from what my friends tell me, it is the best place. Are you married already? all women of different ethinicities intertwined with brasilian live there. Crazy man, definitely envy you dude

Have you seen any of rio de janeiro in your grown up years? or just since you were a toddler? abs

Definitely problematic still. You have the very poor whom live in the favelas, or live off another person.
the middle class/upper class are intertwined slightly.

Havent been to Rochina yet, it is the biggest favela in south america. A big tourist attraction, that place is enormous!
Been to two different favelas thus far, nothing but drugs though. Not much else to see besides this

Yup live in the heart of everything, copacabana. City life to the fullest...It is dangerous everywhere, alike the united states, just look like you know where you are going and dont wear jewelry. When i go to get yayo late at night no one ever fucks with me, i got the face of a gringo people can spot from miles away as well. Just always be looking around

I am getting there. I can understand practically everything, yet speak a bit of it.
Last year i learned solely from speaking, listening and understanding amongst my friends and coworkers.
Now i am doing portuguese courses to expedite the process

Yeah its kind of hard to get by without it, i wouldnt say its rare that people dont speak english. Just not your average folk

EXPENSIVE! everything is quite expensive, especially if you live in popular places like copacabana, leblon, ipanema, barra.
Otherwise outside of the city life it is cheaper...

You would be fine with 1500-1800USD at the least per month.
You can have fun easily in whatever way you please, and still be left over with money.
(for fun and entertainment and bills:water/elec/gas/etc)

this is not including apartment fees/living costs..

good man. i tell my friends, there is no guarantee you will return home. hhaha
my first experience started like the rest of my friends, i was working a huge event for a month 1/2
and i was madly in love with the country, the food the culture, had 2 girlfriends..they eat us alive here
so i started my work visa process hahaha

like a fairtytale almost...rio de janeiro is a mans paradise.
i have been to amsterdam, the women are great(to buy), the weed is amazing, and this is a mans paradise for sure...
BUT can you trade all of that for amazing cocaine, macking on the most beautiful women of your life, and ending up in paradise..

Come here once and you will return always hahahah

I AM SOLD

I remember talking to you quite a while ago I95. (could've been someone else actually considering my memory is shot, but I think it was you.)

Hope you are still enjoying the life in Rio. I lived in Barra Da Tijuca for the first 5 years of my life, I miss that place.

I'm moving to Florianopolis, SC on october 8th. Can't wait!

I actually do have some questions for you considering I haven't lived in BR for longer than 3 months in over 20 years. I'll have to get to them later tho. Just posting so I have this thread saved.

ai irmao, beleza?? yeah we talked before i remember!

I am here for good man, probably two years or more. I cannot forsee myself returning to the states.
Last year i lived in Barra for 6 months, great place! but far as fuck from everything, didn't like that
Here in Zona sul, Copacabana, Botafogo, Ipanema, Leblon, everything is convenient and close/

DUDE......i envy you. You are moving to florianopolis? man, i will have to hit you up if i make my way out there brother. Statistically the best women in the world. When you got the chance hit me up in this thread!

Have you seen any of rio de janeiro in your grown up years? or just since you were a toddler? abs

I've only been back to Rio one time since I moved away. That's my first destination actually before I get settled into Florianopolis. I'll definitely keep in touch with you so we can party it up one night and you can show me around my hometown lol.

As far as being married, not yet, just have a girl that I'm planning on marrying from Australia as crazy as that sounds. I'll be missing on all datass in Floripa, but this Aussie girl makes me really happy.

I might as well ask you my question now since it started raining here and my beach plans are canceled.

My aunt and mother were telling me that the cost of living there have risen tremendously over the past couple years. Is that somewhat correct? Money isn't really an issue at this point in my life, but I'd hate it for it to be more expensive than Miami.

Also, I really do hope you can make it to Florianopolis one day. I've lived in some beautiful countries as well as nice places here in the US, but it just doesn't compare for me. I fell in love with that place the first time I stepped foot on that island.

Word cool man! yeah lets kick it one day, definitley feel free to hit me up before u arrive to rio. se tudo de certo vai da merda!

Damn man that's cool whatever makes you happy dude, try not to stare while you are here haha. Not always about the hottest women, its who makes you happy.

But yeah man, the reason being is because the olympics, and world cup are arriving. The prices are ridiculous here for cost of living. But i do live in one of the most populated places in rio de janeiro. I would say dude its just about the same as miami, as i lived there in the US. Super expensive, luckily i dont pay for the apartment, because a friend bought one for me and a friend for the company i work for. So i just pay bills, and that is super fucking expensive man..Just the same or less than miami.

No, it's not more expensive than Canada.  That is a RIDICULOUSLY low income.  Your income is HALF of minimum wage at 40 hours a week.

When I lived in Montreal I shared a 2 bedroom apartment that was $400 total. Not really typical of rent in Canada generally though, it was a rent controlled shithole.

Going off what my south American friends say, Western girls are a lot more independent and it's harder to get in on their world (and pussy), where as south American girls are clingy and easy to make part of your life.

Getting through Mexico would be interesting...we could get coke/weed for cheaper down there, so all we need is the psychedelics

Depending on where you go in Brazil there is every race and origin you could find. The south is predominantly Italian and German heritage so a lot of blonde hair and blue eyes.

Go a bit north to Sao Paulo and you have every race in the world mixed together. Go a bit further north and and you got the light skinned black girls with white facial features with datass.

Fuck, I'm gonna have trouble being faithful once I move back down!

It's the 8th largest growing economy in the world right now. At the same time, I believe it might collapse when it was doing this well back in the late 80's.

It's safe if you're not flaunting brand name clothes, jewelry, money, and expensive shoes. It's actually really laid back if you know where you are.

Of course there are a ridiculous amount of slums (favelas) and people trying to rob you, but that's not a worry unless you act like a douche.

hhehehehehehehe, all you need to do is come to brazil. Go to a club, talk to as many women as you can. If you are not making out with them within 5 minutes move on(srs) . My girlfriend is actually a blonde brasilian/italian. Fucking pure beauty dude

Yeah i will never go back to an american girl. The latina women are amazing, they always want to be with you and they will love and take care of you forever. best women in the world are here, hands down.

And to the other poster, you just have to be careful about which women you choose. There are some kniving women here, and i am always warned by my brasilian friends about this. The green card to american kinda thing. You will know when you have a keeper, the signs always show.

Sure is. My friend who is from london is currently trying to get his work visa to come and live here. He wants to teach english here. Well, here in brazil it is very hard to save. The salaries are nowhere near comparable to the US. But i am here for the experirence.

Very easy. If you are good looking, can speak a little bit of portuguese(seductive words) you are golden.
Seriously, go to a club, take all the risks, speak to any women, and if you are not making out with her in 5 minutes you did something wrong(in my experience, and my friends). Rio, specifically the women are very intimate, love to kiss fast.
Otherwise i have run into instances where the women speak perfect english and i have to spit my game.
It's possible for this to happen depending on where you go.
My first brazilian girlfriend was beautiful, exotic. She spoke perfect english.

lol...well i would never give my identity up or my girlfriends identity up.
Unless you come to rio shoot me a message haha
So, i will post pictures of women i pretty much see daily in the gym.

The women dress in sports bras and spandex. The hottest women are the fittest women here.

When i work out everyday i always see at least 3 SMOKING hot women. Dead gorgeous. They usually only work there legs.
Sometimes, between my rest periods between sets it is very difficult to not get too excited.

But this is reality here in brazil.

I met some guy about a year ago when I was out for a walk in the park. He came up to me and was telling me about how if I wanted to change my life, I should go to Brazil. He had nothing but good things to say. He especially talked up Fortaleza and Recife.

and guess what..he is right. The US stinks! i am a proud american, but i am just so goddamn happy here. It is paradise, god's gift. The people are much warmer, the sun is shining, everything is beautiful. Living and meshing with locals will change your life forever, this experience for me has made me a better person as a whole. I have a few friends from Fortaleza, it is beautiful there, not a big city, not huge parties. Heard nothing but good things about Recife as well, i say you travel to a few places. Come to RIO first, my best advice..

The place to party in brazil is rio de janeiro, it is nonstop here.

Well just keep in mind it's not a one time thing. It's a lot like regular Christians, you actually show up several times a month and have your kumbaya ride, which is absolutely awesome.

Don't make a huge thing of it, just find where your local SD community is, where do they have their church, and show up next time they gather. Great place to meet people, amazing times, IMO it's one of the greatest lifestyle improvements you have there. Far more than the affordable cocaine.

Oh and stay far away from dance works. Those are bleh. Go find a nice Capoeira or drumming group on that day, DO NOT attend Santo Daime dance works under any circumstances

Hmm, I was pondering the fine female asses in this thread, with legal Ayahuasca, with the fact that I hate the sound of Portuguese but not that much ... for a second there I was thinking hmm, I might actually go there for a while.

Then the liveleak links kicked in, and also I remembered those movies, Carandiru and El Cidad de Deus, and also Trope de Elita. Some seriously fucked up shit.

Brazil. Not the place to be for a white peaceful nerdy artist dude like myself

It's a long process of going back and forth between the brazilian embassy in miami, to brazil to get documents. took so long for the process to complete 6months+ . tourist visa is easy to get 4 weeks, and you can stay like 180 days outta the year..

You should google and find out the closest Santo Daime group, the one closest to you. If there are several, you might want to go to each one, to see which vibe and group size you like best. Find out when they have services, and physically go there have a ceremony with each one. They will all be awesome I think, Ayahuasca is a gift from the heavens like no other. Dress in white.

To put things in perspective, I did this stuff 4-5 times so far, and I had to take international flights each time to do it. It was 100% worth it.

You're already in Brazil, so these people might be singing hymns and drinking Aya in your back yard every Sunday, could be 15 mins away from you for all we know. Forget about the cocaine, weed and other such stuff until you check this out. Make this a priority say, your next weekend. Santo Daime is quite popular in some parts of Brazil, so shouldn't be that hard to find a group. They're legal regular churches, like Catholics and such. Totally legit.

Go for a Trabalho de Cura or a Concentration ceremony. Try to avoid dance works, though keep in mind this is my personal opinion only. I had a thoroughly shitty time there, so that's why I am stressing this, hoping you won't learn the same lesson the hard way like I did.

Go do this thing proper, in ceremony, they really know what they're doing, music-wise. It's fucking amazing. Then after you had one or two of those, look for ways to actually score some aya for personal use, and what I'd do is start organizing my own ceremonies with friends and such. Like dress more loosely, maybe make different kinds of music etc. Check legality btw, I don't know if it's OK to use it outside Santo Daime churches.

IMO it is the best and most amazing tripping one can hope for short of smoking DMT, it's very very healthy and it's available to you now by simply being there. Fantastic opportunity IMO, just iron out the details and you're all set. Post a trip report too, more people need to find out about this amazing way of life, and hopefully get it legalized as a religion in more countries.
