Yeah they really aren't very similar aside from being comedies. Always Sunny is more comparable to say Workaholics, and South Park has more in common with The Simpsons.

Call me crazy but I love The Simpsons more than South Park.
I have the first 8 season on DVD. Its clever and the nostalgia factor is

I find South Park and Seinfeld funny, I could never get into Sunny Philly I tried, I watched a couple episodes of different seasons and just never cared for the humor.
Southpark for the win. Although I hope this season is better than last, which to me not very memorable, or funny

South Park only because Always Sunny got moved to FX's new station and my cable provider doesn't offer it.

I disagree. Pretty sure I already argued with you about it months ago.

Well I watched southpark since the 1st grade, so I think the older ones are way funnier and zanier.
Always sunny makes me laugh my ass of and is generally entertaining with the amount of time they use up.

C'mon bro that an easy one.
This, I honestly don't understand how someone could say southpark is "deeper" that show has degreaded as low as family guy. Its been downhill since season 3

I forgot the new season started.
It starting right now. I have to wait for the download though since my cable provider blows dick.

Yay.
South Park is spotty, but they still nail it sometimes.

I disagree, South Park is a show that is up and down, thrown together week by week, and based almost entirely around mocking whatever bullshit happened recently in American pop culture.
It's Always Sunny on the other hand is an entirely original series, about trashy characters, with cleverly written jokes. It also has a better canon than south Park with more interesting and recurring characters.
South park spends a huge amount of their broadcast time just making fun of celebrities.

Agreed.
Either the episode is hilarious or stupid, mostly because every episode is one joke repeated for 30 minutes.
Remember that episode with Cartman and Cthulhu? Holy shit I wanted to punch my palm through my face every time it showed Cartman doing the stupid baby/dog talk with Cthulhu.

I think Always Sunny can be pretty spotty too.
This South Parks good so far though IMO "Night government!"
South Park makes an effort to address any/all issues presently relevant, and that's awesome to me. That's why I said I think its deeper.
Since someone mentioned Family Guy, IMO- American Dad > Cleveland Show > Family Guy. I don't go out of my way to see them, but if they're on

The last funny ep of southpark I saw was the one where that show is selling fake jewlery to old people, that was fucking hilarious.

Whereas Sunny nails it every single episode.
Like can anyone name one episode that wasn't funny? Because a lot of SP episodes are shitty and forced.

I agree, I cant remember the last time a show made me laugh as hard as that ep where the bum was jacking off in the alley.
Also, I'll admit last season of its always sunny definitely wasn't the best, but this season has been better than I expected. That first episode had me laughing so hard.

Yep. American Dad is fairly decent, but I can barely sit through an episode of Family Guy.

Yeah if family guy comes on I make sure to turn it, which is kind of whats happening to south park for me now. This new episode is fucking awful.
