First time growing with bags.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and hope that I'm not violating any rules by posting this here.
I have never grown mushrooms before but after doing some research online I decided to order a couple 2lb sterilized rye grow bags along with my spore syringes. Is it possible to grow my shrooms out of these bags simply by injecting them with the spore solution or will I need to apply a casing layer for them to start fruiting once the bags are fully colonized?
I'm aware that there are most likely much more effective techniques to grow mushrooms than using these bags but they are appealing to me as a first time grower with no experience. Plus, I already ordered them lol.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You have a few choices here
-Fruit invitro (in the bag) -Fruit in a fruiting chamber (you will need a casing layer this way because rye by itself doesn't retain moisture very well) -Spawn to a bulk substrate.
Try not to bump your thread for atleast 24 hours though, it's against the rules and not fair to other posters.

Thanks for the reply.
I do plan to fruit them "invitro". So does that mean there is no need for a casing layer inside of the bag? Sorry about the bump, it was unintentional.

Nope, no need for a casing when fruiting invitro.

Excellent. I look forward to giving it a go as soon as I receive the materials in the mail.
Edit: Upon further research it seems as though a lot of people on the forum advise against growing on rye grain alone because it doesn't retain moisture well (As mushmagic already mentioned). Since these bags only contain rye, do you think I would experience trouble getting them to fruit invitro? Are there any steps I could take that might help produce better results?
I'm sorry for asking so many noobish questions. I just can't really seem to find a lot of useful information on bag growing.

Invitro wont be optimal but it works, just open the bag to fan them a couple times a day so they get some FAE, then close the bag back up.
