Hi,
Found these cool Puffballs today. Pretty sure they're common Puffballs and have cut one down the center to make sure it's not an amanita or a stink horn. Are they definitely common Puffballs and edible?

Does anyone have an opinion on the taste of these? I picked some yesterday but am a bit yella...

"The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."

Yep, Gem Studded Puffballs.
They are marshmallow like in texture and nothing to note in flavor.
Basically a filler/Texture mushroom, not much if any flavor.
Ive used these in pasta, soup... fried with an egg wash/crumb coat is probably better.

Huh... that's wierd you guys are saying no distinct flavor. The ones here have a distinct cheese-like taste. unique
They're weird fried as they do get marshmellowy as described above. I think cooking in butter is good for these. One of my favotites lately. I just love em, and they're everywhere abundantly
