well on an empty stomach after the xanax and beer become aquainted it usually takes me about 30 minutes to achieve that blissful state of "no mind"

I am not even familiar with what that is, but I will attempt an answer, in the name of not being set on whether or not I am right or wrong..

Forever?
Peace.

Dang that was too darn quick :frown:
I was hoping for some unkoan like answers, u know the usual:
-No time at all
-Forever
-3 Reincarnations
-An Eternal Now
-I don't know
But actually 30 minutes after xanax n beer is the right answer :smirk:
Congratulations ! U're eligible for our Discounted Enlightenment
package now for only $250,000... (allow one or two incarnations
for delivery)...OR you could go for the COMBO SPECIAL !
Nirvana And Hedonism in one neat little package ! Why settle
for one when u can have both !

Hey Firework
It wuz a catch joke, like all zen koans.
The answer is generally the most direct and often seems absurd
due to it's simplicity. Affected simplicity is put in the same
category as a complicated answer. The idea of Koans is literally
to frustrate the complications of the mind and to see the
simplicity and joy/beauty/humor in that simplicity.
Peace

My answer was un-koan because I am not too familiar with koans..

Quite the koan you got yourself there.. Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Lisa is trying to help Bart become a better golfer, and she reads a koan and he goes "yoink" and goes into a spiritual state.. good stuff.
Peace.
