If a bubble forms at the bottom of the ocean, will it rise to the top? Or would it loose O2 on the way up?
Also from a philosophical standpoint, what are your thoughts
I wad thinking about this the other day. My own thinking comes up with stuff like this all the time. Oh ya I was reading a physics book and started daydreaming.

It will rise to the top and expand as it does so due to the pressure dropping all the time. If it would lose O2 would depend a lot on the composition of the gas the bubble consists of, as well as the temperature and O2 content of the layers of water it passes through.

You just blew my mind. But could it be a valid way to get O2 back into earths atmosphere?

Yeah I'm pretty sure a bubble from the bottom of the ocean could start small and be quite large on the surface due to the decrease in pressure.
Anybody good with math able to figure out how big a 1cm bubble could become at the surface due to pressure change? Maybe just an educated estimate?

Bubbles of oxygen that appear at the bottom of the ocean for some mystery reason? Seems like trees and plants are more practical.
I'm going to say the bubble probably wouldn't make it to the surface, since gases dissolve in water more readily at high pressures.

Obviously theirs going to be human intervention. If your not going to think don't respond.

I'll decide whether or not to respond for myself, thanks.
By the way I thought of a way to solve the energy crisis, we'll just charge a bunch of rechargeable batteries and run everything off those.

How do we charge them?

Not sure if the dude is trolling or not, but it seems pretty obvious that if you have some source of oxygen gas and you want it to end up in the atmosphere, you could probably just release it directly into the atmosphere instead of at the bottom of the ocean.

It's always better if there are bubbles involved that keep getting better and then pop. Popping bubbles make anything better.

Actually, the algae in the ocean do a lot more for the CO2 sequestering/O2 production than all the forests.

If your getting bubbles that are enormous after just a small bubble it has more O2 and no noxious gasses. Next is are you trolling? Can you not see how it will get It will get to the atmosphere?

Nope, you would have the same number of O2 molecules that you started with. Only the volume and density are changing.

No.

Yes, obviously it eventually would. It would take a lot more effort to transport it to the bottom of the ocean though.
