Thanks. Found growing from area around stump in the n.e. .I got to print them but I'm 99% sure they're gyms. Its not the first patch I've found while driving. I'm constantly looking for and at stumps while on the road. i still got an eye on the road.

Yeah Im from the N.E. too. I ride my atv everywhere doing the same looking at stumps and down trees. Closest thing I found to a gymn was either pholiota or Phaeomarasmius. good deal.

Why have all my Jilm finds, and most of the Jilm finds I see on this site been drive-by's?

I've never found them in the woods either. I either find them while driving or on someones lawn I'm mowing.

I think they like the open spaces where light really gets in. I always assumed Jilms to be found in shady dark damp old growth forests, until I found them in a parking lot. Lol
