I'v been spot casing a tray of cased rye grain when mycelium poke threw in a few spots, I'v since (48hrs)placed that tray into my fruiting chamber, and since them mycelium growth has exploded, SO my question is should i have still continued to spot case the casing untill the mycelium has slowed down, or not even worry about it? I do have two kind of Mycelium poking through the casing, the first is a regulare looking mycelium and the other is more of a whispy fussy mycelium
Don't patch case too much, dude! I did once and I friggin' buried my mycelium, then had to scratch the excess off. What I do now is pile a little extra around the edges for when the casing shrinks and then "repair" case after the flush.
