Some fungi found on a walk...

Took my dog to a park today and found some cool fungi growing around. If you can ID any, by all means go for it! If not, then just enjoy the pics :smile:Always nice to see what is growing around us during this time of year.

Gymnopilus luteofolius probably. (active)
Marasmius oreades maybe.

Agreed.  I can't verify the species of the Gymnopilus, though.

I will go back and pick a couple, take some better pics and a spore print and post them up here. There were quite a few growing on a big bed of wood chips.

Hell yeah this forum is awesome. Has helped me a lot! I think I'm just going to leave these gyms alone though and let them do their thing. More interested in finding/picking cyans again this year. Its a good feeling to find an active patch of shrooms though! Have only ever found cyans which was last year, so I feel accomplished that I have found a second type of fungi. Really wAnt to find liberty caps too.
