The Sabbath

Let's say you are religious and hold the Sabbath as holy. Now let's hypothesize that you get in a shipwreck, are the sole survivor and land on a desert island. You are unconscious for several days with no idea as to how long you have been out. You have no watch or phone or any other communication device.
How would you know what day to worship and what if you get it wrong?

i'm guessing by star gazing. You can tell the time of the year and month according to the constellations.

Yes, I am sure without equipment and star charts that your average worshipper would get this correct with a high degree of accuracy.
You could do this, right?

I cannot do this. But if your on an island what the hell else do you have to do at night but star gaze. it may take a few years of charting, but I'm sure it can be learned. And besides. If finding out a specific day on the calendar means so much. Faith will guide you.

OK, you are there for 20 years and study the night sky every night. How do you utilize this to correlate star position to a day of the week with nothing to compare it to?

God would only allow someone who could do it to be stranded on a island. Such is the majesty of de lawd.

If you were unconscious for several days you would likely be dead, therefore heaven is a deserted island.

Yeah, a place that keeps you alive for a couple of days unconscious, is likely to let you keep all the days as you would the Sabbath, if not heaven, gonna be a close second.

Message in a bottle: Dear Ozzy and crew, hope you guys are well. I'm stranded on an island in the South Pacific. Primarily want to be rescued, but also need to know what day it is as I don't want to miss the concert. Please send help. P.S.- rock on!
