Possible cobweb contams + Primordia?

Hey guys,
I've been getting some mixed colonization results with this one strain (from agar), and am wondering if I have just been culturing a strain of cobweb mold this whole time. Haven't had a chance to fruit yet, so I don't know if the jars are viable. The growth does not look even in some areas, although when I inoculated with an agar wedge, I shook the jars to distribute pieces of mycelium, so the thin growth could just be the early stages of mycelium. Do you guys think this is cobweb vs mycelium, or all mycelium?
Also, does the presence of primordia in some of my more finished jars show that the strain is just a really fast-colonizing one, or is this a fruiting trigger from the presence of competitor cobweb mold? No clue. What do y'all think?
Thanks,
- pWilly

Doesn't look like cobweb, I'd wait a while and see if it fruits, if its cobweb, it should cover the newly formed mushrooms
congrats on your substrate colonization tho!

I appreciate the kind words. I've been having a tough time trying to figure this strain out. I isolated it from MS germination a while back and chose it because of its super fast growth rate- hopefully I haven't been culturing cobweb mold this entire time, thinking it was just mycelium.
Normally I wouldn't think that, but I just don't see how this strain of mycelium seems to be darker and thinner than most other strains while also growing faster. It all turns bright white in the end, but it grows awfully fast..

Some Myc will grow faster then others. One of the many different traits you see from their genetics.

True, but so do many other competitor fungi, so I'm just wondering if it's unheard or not for it to be this fast.

I can see parts that clearly look like mycelium, and others that clearly look like mold. I have the same thing now trying to get this ATL7 print to bloom.
Agar seems to be the solution.

Which part(s) clearly look like mold? (I'm not retorting, I truly am curious so that I can learn to identify the differences better)

Make your own thread, don't hijack someone else's especially when your post doesn't have anything to do with his situation.
Also I can't tell much of anything from your pictures. Post a new thread with some details and pictures of your fruiting Chamber.

First pic has a big sector of myc on the left... everything else looks like mold.
or the angles could be dangling me, could all be mold.

I appreciate all the help, guys. I think there's definitely something else present, otherwise all those primordia wouldn't be showing up so soon. My assumption is that the mycelium detects the competitor mold and as a stressor, it is trying to go ahead and fruit in the presence of competition. Again, not so sure, but I'll keep y'all updated.
