The Official "Recreate Your Visuals" Thread
    #18884355 - 09/24/13 10:45 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Most of the time when I've had visuals, they've been triggered from an internal feeling. I think recreating visuals can bring you back to that feeling and hopefully restore some ideas that were lost and forgotten. I find it almost therapeutic and experience-integrating.

Plus I think it'd be pretty kickass to have a thread where people could post and see other's visualizations. So I'm making a thread for it.

Here's a visual that I frequently get on shrooms. It feels a bit like my appendages [specifically hands] are growing into root like structures, while at the same time my visuals get very liquified and blurred. This visual for me gets greatly enhanced when I'm outside digging my hands in the ground. Which is interesting, because as I said, it's almost as if my hands are turning into roots. The first time I had this visual was during my first mushroom trip. It opened my eyes to some of the ideas shared by buddhism. It made me feel like everything was connected, like I could dig my hands into the ground and pull energy directly out of the plants around me. It was almost an "Avatar"-like experience.

I apologize for it being a bit rigid in the beginning, I'm not the best at animation.

I'll post more up soon!

thats a cool gif, good work . I get similar visuals as well. Psychedelics really make you think, don't they?

Whoah, awesome idea for a thread! I have many pieces of art where I slip in various visual artifacts from the psychedelic realm. Here are a couple from two recent trips I had (one on DPT insufflated and one on MiPT smoked).
Note the square spiral patterning. This is the main design I saw covering the walls on the first trip on DPT.

And another visual that seemed to be a mandala spin-off:

What an awesome gif you made.. I'd love to see more of your art!

OP, how did you animate that? it looks like you used a fancy photoshop filter or something.

Used the liquify tool to do frame by frame animation. Also added some color correction and other filters to make it more interesting. Nothing special, just incredibly time consing when I was supposed to be working

I'm creating another one at the moment demonstrating visuals I used to get very consistently on my DOC binges.

Here's a visual I would frequently experience while on DOC. It was unique to that substance (for me) and would happen consistently every time I dosed 4-6mg+. It was always the same symbols across my field of view. It reminded me of mayan writing almost. I also always had the blue/magenta color separation on them. But I experience this on EVERY substance I trip on. See the gif of the kitties in my signature? I made that, that's the color separation I'm talking about. I'm not sure if everyone sees this, but those are the colors I always see while tripping.

When I dosed higher, it almost became difficult to move around. Because these symbols would be pulsing in my view and distorting the colors and lighting in my field of view. I always wondered what the symbols meant.. because they were so unordinary and out of this world.. and very consistent.

I actually have experienced that same blue/magenta color separation that you speak of. It also seems to happen with other colors, like purple and orange, or green and orange... It is an interesting phenomenon.

When I went to a Moe concert (last night actually) the light show seemed to amplify this color separation and effect.
As for the Mayan-like symbols, I can't say I've seen anything like that!

Interesting! I experience the same colors every time when I'm on synthetic chemicals, like RCs and LSD. But on natural substances like weed and shrooms, I get a wide spectrum of colors that outline each object, rather than just two colors.

It looks like my image broke, I must've reached the bandwidth limit on that image host haha. I fixed the image.

MDMA while on the dance floor with my eyes closed and the strobe light going hard. Keep in mind the squares were all moving in and out. I've also had complex red/white geometric patterns too.

Not exactly what I've seen on salvia, but gives you a good idea about how everything suddenly becomes something else.

LSD/Shrooms, mostly LSD because of the rainbow-like patterning

That first pattern you have there bears a resemblance to the square spirals depicted in my first piece of art posted! :}{

Great thread, some very familiar images, haha.

Anybody remember what the clouds look like on mushrooms? You know, when you are just lying there on the grass, looking up, and the clouds just look crazy!

It's hard to describe, as you all undoubtedly have experienced.

Whenever I see clouds when I'm tripping they ALWAYS look like cubic, constantly morphing faces with four faces (n/e/s/w) displaying four emotions. They always look like those Happy/Sad masks but sometimes displaying indecision, restlessness, boredom, ennui, or whatever. If I stare long enough, I always start to hear them. They make that crazy noise like a thousand monks chanting or some shit.

For me, almost every visual I ever have is either based on text that looks simultaneously like graffiti, arabic, heiroglyphic, and cursive english, or personified patterns that seem to me to be the "stuff" that makes up my surroundings expressing itself to me as conscious; billions of inter-locking repeating being patterns that make up everything.

I've seen these faces in this formation, and a million others, on loads of different drugs;

Multiple times on MDA I've seen these exact little critters, except that I would've made them look slightly MORE Like sneakers; they run in zip-lines, zig-zagging patterns across my vision, and I can control which direction they go and how fast (or let the music control it)

I definitely get this on LSD, especially anything more than 100 ug. I always see "blooming" colors in almost every object I observe, like flowering lotus shapes of flashing rainbows!

When I was tripping on top of a mountain, it was me and my 2 buddies. We had some WoW blotter, tasteless. Just 1 could make you trip nicely, you could feel that this this lucy was high quality and potent. When I stood up, I felt so clear headed and it was really clean feeling. It lifted me up gently, and carried me down the same way. Anyways, I took 3, my friends both took 2 each. During my peak, the coolest visual hallucination I got was color actually floating off my shirt, and my friends' shirts. When the wind changed direction, the color that wisped away from us changed direction with the wind. It was bizarre, but very cool. Crazy how it was changing right before my eyes, and it looked so real, changing dynamically with the wind. Any insects that flew by left a rainbow trail, i was :trippinballs: to say the least.

This last summer I was enjoying my fruits frequently and usually I would lay a blanket out on my deck (deck is on the 2nd story of the house) after eating my fill. Most of my trips were at night time so that I could star gaze. I live in a area that is relatively rural so a lot of stars are visible, and from the comfort of your own deck it's amazing. I generally ate until I was full, which was always at least 40+ grams fresh. When I laid out on my deck listening to music and smoking, all the stars seemed to be connected by lines and these lines created the shape of humanoid figures. These humanoid figures walked around and sometimes would come down to look at me, putting one hand on my roof and the other on the ground. It appered like the entire universe was actually contained in a dome that seemed kind of like a barrier, it was composed of odd geometric shapes that looked kind of aztec/mayan. This barrier looked like it really enclosed the entire universe. The people walking in the sky were much closer than this barrier, and they too seemed so far away. Occasionally a large majority of the stars would come together to make a face and the faces seemed to pop out as if they were projections. They were always smiling and laughing, which made me happy. It would be difficult to recreate all this since it was difficult to simply come up with the words to describe it all, which by the way don't do the experiences justice.

this is a picture from Majora's mask (Zelda) and is what first popped up into my mind when I saw these visuals.

I noticed when I trip I get the same lines that connect stars. Now that I think about it, that could be how constellations came about. Maybe people long ago saw these while tripping

Awesome experience. Did you write up a more detailed report than this? Please post a link if you did.

Are you near the Cali/AZ/Nevada area? Lets eat some of your shrooms!

Any insects that flew by left a rainbow trail, i was :trippinballs: to say the least.

i want a gif of this

Heh, you posted a Moe song on a thread I made when tripping and it made it quite a good time

Thats so weird, my first acid trip (very strong dose!) had very similar effects as this photo! Namely, the Mayan glyphs that pop up at the end of the animation loop.

I was looking at the sky, and I kept seeing floating/blending fragments of the Aztec Sun Calendar. Imagine this calendar below, but gray, within a cloud, and the fragments of it are at different angles, blending/floating into one another. It was an incredible sight I wish i could see again.

Now that would be a cool gif if I knew how to make them!

Also, I saw naked strippers dancing in the clouds that first trip too. I bet you guys would love seeing that gif
