Well this weekend my Salvia Divinorum cutting Landed

She's about 4 times the size of my last cutting which died from root rot. Was also cheaper at £13 delivered and better packaged.
It's been re-potted into a 10cm pot with some good general purpose compost and Perlite in a 50/50 mix, currently in the acclimatisation stage so for the next 2-3weeks I'll be weaning her out of the humidity bag but will be updating for my own record as well as to give/receive any help for and from you guys n gals. all is well at the 48hr mark though.
looking forward to my next Salvia experience, especially knowing it is to be the reward of keeping this wonderful plant alive

Late night update. Had a mad panic realising i had no gravel at the bottom of the pot to aid drainage (after losing a cutting to rootrot a year or so ago im trying to be as carful as posdible on the drainage front) So moonlit repotting ensued i noticed root growth further up the stem than the original peat plug and the roots extending from the peat plug had grown a little too. So all in all im a happy chap.

Gravel on the bottom won't improve drainage, but will lessen the amount of space for soil in your pot.. Make sure your mix is well draining and just fill the pot!

I thought it would. By creating more empty space for water to run off.
Either way its done now soil is pretty free draining got a good( amount of perlitemixed in and ive found through14 growing other plants that potting up gradually, while less convenient, helps the plant establish a good root system i maybe mistaken however so correct me if i am

I used to put rocks in my pots for drainage, until root damage occurred during re potting. The rocks will fall away and damage roots in the process, and as stated above less available soil for roots to get what they want. Keep an eye out.
