printing clones?

Im trying to grasp a better understanding of clones and spores. So from what I understand, you can only clone so many times before there is just nothing left in a mushrooms genetic makeup... right? So what I have always done is kept a master spore print to go back to when ive cloned enough. What im wondering though is if I can clone and then print from a clone and then ms... etc etc and so on forever....
Basically like this MS<clone<ms<clone<ms<clone<etc so I wouldnt always have to keep a backup print on hand.. Will the genetic makeup break down overtime... or will printing in-between each clone erase the family line..
Its hard to put what im thinking into words I just dont want to set myslef up to eventually growing pathetic little nothings and having to buy new spores..

You don't need to keep a master spore print. If you want more prints just take new prints.
Edit: I guess I should make myself more clear. If you print a strain that has lost certain characteristics, it is possible to breed those characteristics out. This is how strains are domesticated. Eventually genetics can degrade, which is why B+ is sometimes called "Bunk +" by some people. This does take a long time, and usually isn't something that is worried about.

Yes but once you print a clone, it is no longer a clone. Your genetics are once again a crap shoot.
There are arguments that printing>clone>printing>clone etc can be used to "domesticate" a sub strain but given that you're basically trying to force evolution, I wouldn't count on any quantifiable results.

Don't listen to hype.
Wild prints will perform as well indoors as the ones being sold by vendors. I've never heard of or seen a wild cube 'domesticated' despite constant blathering by those selling the prints as they seek self glorification. RR

The Shroomery should have a huge sign on the front page saying something like: "Welcome, enjoy, but remember; You don't grow casings, and "strain" doesn't matter".
Would've made everything so much easier, took me months to figure out what the *blank* people were talking about uncased casings, bottom casings of bulk sub material and whatnot.
