Why does is seem no one needs human connection?

Hi,
My family are few, but we are all family in ways. Why does it seem people don't want to connect in a meaningful way? Seems the choice is to not communicate. I cannot understand why silence is better than giving or sharing or speaking to each other and I admit i need these things. I need people. I believe there is a better way but I think society was planted with tainted seed.that alone would seem to bond people.
But where are the people that believe that we can change things? Are they the silent? Do they know? Am I misguided? What happened?

Meaningful connections don't exist. Even on 3 hits of ecstacy - people want to bond, then they finally do, then nothing really changes.. I mean it's nice and all, even needed perhaps but the need to bond is just weakness.
Be strong, improve yourself. We can't change shit, so better to suck it up and join the mayhem.
If you are really serious about changing things, join an organization or a club - your family likely doesn't care about your personal desire to mold the world. You can probably find a few people willing to go along with you, but, likely this is a phase you will grow out of.

I see your point. A hedonistic approach but that means we all have to more selfish than we already are. Basically, disagree with most of your statements but kinda like the fuck it attitude.

The human condition seems to be solitary with a need to connect. Modern humans seem to feel the alienation most as we don't allow for much physical contact. I like dogs myself.

I see parallels between this and the process of physical laws constantly moving things towards equilibrium. Yin and yang. Even the Ouroboros could be interpreted as the universe desiring itself, seeking a singularity in which there was nothing left to be connected with.
