How far do informants go?

Anyone ever heard of an informant selling the dealer drugs to gain his trust then buying drugs back off the dealer?
Can an informant do the evidence and it still be used in court? Say I think I sold an informant 2 grams of ketamine, but watched him do at least half of it. If he was wired up the wire would have recorded him doing it and being ridiculous on it.
Do they allow informants to buy from a dealer just to gather information, and not do controlled buys? Like this snitch just buys from me, gets to do what he buys, and just writes statements on me?

In my experience the cops and CIs can and will do whatever the fuck they want. Last time I was arrested, the police report read like a work of fiction, three quarters of the shit was made up, and the CI that set me up was snorting coke the entire time, don't ever do a drug deal with someone who the phone, cops are the phone during drug deals......... they will do what they want, your word against there's unless you have some evidence proving otherwise, best to just stay off the radar don't mess with flunky people. I had a search warrant checklist but can't seem to find it, it is good to have knowledge of it if I can find it I will put a link in this thread.

Ya but was he snorting the coke YOU sold him? Or was he snorting his own stuff? Like how could they use it as evidence in trial if it was tampered with by the CI?
Say someone sold me a huge quantity of something...like I'm talking felony 1 style amounts....then proceeds to want to buy 2 grams of K off me at a time and acts really sketchy about it everytime...and extremely loud in public while we do it......but even when he sells me stuff he is this loud. I imagine it's just drug dealer ego, and he gives no shits about going to jail.....or he knows he won't.....I don't know.

I'd drop him like a bad habit. It's always best to go with your instincts. If he sketches you out, then stop whatever you're doing and lay low for a while.

I would never count on anything being dismissed from court as evidence. If you google, you can find all sorts of news about cops in NY actually fucking girls at massage parlors, then busting them. Yes, the cops overstepped and it caused a major stir. But the convictions still stuck, regardless.

Informants can do whatever they want. As long as the police aren't directing them to do anything illegal, the evidence is admissible.
