"I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can’t even express these things properly, because I have to—I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language, but I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me. I’m a machine, and I can know much more." - battlestar galactica

In the city, so I often take walks in nature/sit in nature/cycle in nature/meditate i nature

pretty sensitive to noise, but very relaxed in nature
no frustration, as long as I get my nature fix everyday :-)

houseplants & pets help a lot too, brings happiness, infinite amounts from each

Grandfather tells:

An old Grandfather said to his grandson, who came to him with anger at a friend who had done him an injustice, "Let me tell you a story.

I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do.

But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times." He continued, "It is as if there are two wolves inside me. One is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him, and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way.

But the other wolf, ah! He is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing.

Sometimes, it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes and asked, "Which one wins, Grandfather?"

The Grandfather smiled and quietly said, "The one I feed."

Very nice story, fits own exp well :-)

Always do what you love, then a little bit of frustration doesn't matter much to you

And observe thoughts/see how pointless anger/frustration is when it arises, let it pass
(does neither yourself any good nor anyone else, it only makes you more frustrated/worried)

that story is like my past year's experiences or so, everyday (very sensitive to neighbor noise/any noise, have always been)
I often end up taking a walk in nature/sitting in nature if the frustration gets too high(can't move as I own my apartment)

all thoughts leave in nature/as soon as I walk out the door and feel good for the rest of the day

same happens when I do what I love, gardening/houseplants/pets/hobbies etc.

time ceases :-)

Tribesman that was a great story. I especially liked the part about poisoning yourself with anger.
Mio I strive to be content. However, I am in a stressful city. I also have house plants and looooove nature. I just can't wait to graduate college this year and live how I wish to live. I want to help people as well. I wish I could meet more people like you.
