"How I know there is a God!"

From a lady caller to The Atheist Experience: (not exact quote)
"I prayed to God to show me a sign that he was for realz. A few weeks later (Why the slow response, God? A bit backed up on requests?) I was at a park and was surrounded by 22 Monarch butterflies. It was cold out and they should have all migrated or been dead."
"The next month I was rummaging in my garage looking for a pair of gloves and I stumbled upon a Bible from my deceased Mother!"
Wow! Hard to disbelieve after those two amazing and extremely clear signs. :rolleyes
Skepdick that I am, He would have to be a bit more direct in my case. Perhaps a message in my Alphabet soup or better still, the hot FedEx delivery lady asking to come in and doing a strip tease and a lap dance. I would be all like "Thank you, Jesus!"

Yeah, total nonsense.. some people will believe anything.
Now, if it had been 42 butterflies.. then she'd have a case.

Haha that reminds me of a guy that i encountered who was preaching about about Christianity and on the topic of forgiveness, told a story about his daughter getting raped , and the guy that did it got away with it. They didn't want to get revenge themselves but instead prayed to God in which case eventually attributed to the rapist catching HIV and dying.

I know that there is a God. I know this because I changed my definition of God from some guy in the clouds to me, who I know definitely exists.
Suck it, atheists.

If you are looking for evidence to back up your already firmly held beliefs, you will find it everywhere.
Confirmation bias is a slippery devil... you have to constantly be on the watch for it and stomp it out whenever it rears it's ugly head.. otherwise it can sneak in from the side and infect even the most rigorous and logical of minds.
