hello, a few weeks ago I had this 1 quart wheat grain jar which was about 5 days old when I noticed the all the grains in the jar were covered with small white dots. They looked similar to this white contam I've seen on horse shit before, that the mycelium 'ate' without any problem, so I ignored the stuff in the jars, and continuted to incubate them. A week or so later they were fully colonized, and I used them to spawn some shit casings.
I was wondering what this contam is. I looked in the contamination guide in the mushroom cultivator, and they describe something similar called 'actinomycetes'.
Has anyone else seen this contam before? Is it harmless?
