My first search for libs came to no avail, but found these instead. ID?

Found in the East Midlands, UK. They were found on a small field next to a small lake in my town, on a small slanted slope. A lot of duck and geese patrol these grounds. They grew in clusters and spread out.
The cap of the mushrooms feels rubbery to the touch, no blue bruising, and a generic mushroom smell.
I am not hoping these are psychoactive, I am sure they are not. I was just curious as to what they were so I picked some. Better than to leave with nothing, eh?
The area they grew in apparently is home to liberty caps, but this is according to a random drunk man in a motorscooter that I met a few years ago. There was a slope that faced in another direction that I didn't check, so I think I will have a look again tomorrow.
Is this type of environment potentially home to libs? And are the mushrooms here of any significance (ie, do they grow in the same conditions as libs?)

Thanks!

Compare these to Marasmius oreades.
Spore print should be white.
Grab one of the stems and try to break it. Would you describe the stem as fragile, brittle, strong, ??

The stem is pretty strong, takes a bit of force to snap. Might be worth noting that in the picture, they were picked half an hour ago, but right now when I broke the stem, they are 12 hours from being picked.

Mm, of course, and I apologise that I haven't provided one. Put some caps on paper now so it will be a while.

If they're twelve hours old, then you may not get a print. Try misting the caps, then put a cup over them while they print, obviously to retain moisture.
