Habitat: Wood litter, underneath (but not directly on) Saw palmetto in a mixed pine/palm/oak habitat along a small river off the central Florida coast.

Gills: Somewhat attached

Stem: Thin, no universal or partial veil, orange/tan/brown, larger towards base becoming off white

Cap: Umbonate, orange/brown

Bruising: Blue discoloration towards the apex of the stipe on one specimen


Just wanted to see if anybody has any ideas or recognizes these. Sorry for the photo quality, it was an impromptu observation.

based solely on the habitat and spore color I would think Galerina sp. is a possibility.

It's almost completely dried, which is making the spores and habitat the only things to really go on.

The stipe seems like what I would imagine a dried Galerina stipe would look like. Though that doesn't mean squat really. :pipesmoke:
