fruit body in brf jar! what? PIC
    #18878316 - 09/22/13 10:29 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

guys, I have had my cakes in darkness, and obviously no FAE during  colonization/consolidation, tonight upon closer inspection ,my jaw drop when I saw this little guy pushing up against the jar wall

I'm not gonna lie I felt a chill down my spine since this is my first grow, I was excited as hell since I've never seen a fresh mushroom of this type IRL ever lol

I've read in this awesome board that FAE and light are pinning triggers, but obviously the mycelial network is signaling to fruit without those factors present :um:

ha! I guess reading all the posts about optimum misting and fanning schedules and 12 hours light/darkness with specific type of light spectrum led me to believe this was necessary, but it seems once colonization is done fruits will pop up regardless of light or not and FAE or not, interesting

Well yeah, full colonization tells the mycelium its time to fruit.
I used to see this happen heavily all over the jars with APE, especially in 80f + temps.
If you can pull off a dunk/roll without snapping it off, it'll probably come to be a big one.

This is how my last invertro pins turned out...

One was 25.5 grams, the other was 31.4.  Freakin' awesome!
