Hello! I want to plan a trip to Houston from Dallas around Monday-Tuesday. I know it's been rainy the past couple days. Is that to long to wait to find anything in fields? I mean well it be to dry by then to find anything? Thanks y'all

Anybody? I just don't wanna drive 4 hours down there and not find anything. Is Monday-Tuesday a good time to go look with all the rain they've been getting? I see it's sunny today/tomorrow

3. Do not ask what mushrooms can be found growing in your state or immediate area. That information can be found here: http://www.shroomery.org/8461/Which-mushrooms-grow-wild-in-my-area Also read An overview on how to find Psilocybin Mushrooms.
4. Do not ask about current finds in your area. These posts have been flooding the forum for years. If you're curious about if mushrooms are growing in your area, get out there and look! Mushrooms don't read the books. Sometimes they fruit outside of season. There is no set date for any season, only vast generalizations. Your best bet is that if it's close to the season for the mushroom you are looking for and its been raining, you just might find some.
5. Do not make threads or posts discussing or reporting the weather. This includes complaining about the weather, asking if the current weather is "good for shrooms", or how long to wait after rain fall to go hunting. As a general rule of thumb, if it has rained within the last 1-10 days, and the temperatures are correct for the type of mushroom you're looking for, and the time of year is correct then it is very likely that the mushroom you are looking for is growing.

In sorry about that not trying you step on toes! But I have read/searched. This is a good time of year and weather seems right however what I don't seem to find... Is more detailed info. It seems most of what I read says to look the first sunny day after good rain. What I'm not finding is long I can wait before the ground is to dry (other than reading "1-10" days).
I just wanted to save myself 8 hours of driving if it's not a good time to go since I don't know the are well... Temperature wise it looks good to me , but humidity has dropped after the rain to 45%, so this idk how many days I can wait before the ground is to dry.
I'm not asking for locations or anything...But since it's against forum rules then forget it I guess.. I'll just drive down there Monday night or Tues morning and hope it's not to late after the rain
Just curious ,why is it against the rules to talk about the weather? I can understand all the bs threads and lazy people who want to be spoonfed, but for people who aren't local it's really hard to gauge such parameters when I'm strange to the area. Believe me, if I was local to that area I would've been out everyday after the rain looking
