Selling myself for my dream
    #18875622 - 09/22/13 11:56 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Would you have sex for money to fund your dream? They say money doesn't buy happiness but I feel happier when I'm not worrying about it.

Okay, so it is a real job. oldest profession in the book, actually.

might i say this instead,

look for a job that doesn't come with such shame, degradation, disrespect, distaste, self-disgust and STDs

If you want to get back at your father, marry a black man

or is that self contradicting to the former statement

Just because you find whoring yourself out as degrading and shameful doesn't mean everyone does.

I have a friend who is a prostitute and she seems to find it empowering. Also has tons of disposable income.

I'd get a "real" job but I'm in full time school and when I work my marks suffer.

My dream is to grow and be an expert in medicinal biology.

Well hey, romantic physical contact is only one of the most highly regarded parts of what people consider their humanity. If you don't have a problem with degrading that act into a simple means of monetary gain I don't see what we could take issue with. Surely you'll be able to deal with any potential intimacy issues that occur as a result.

Not everyone gets to experience that though. Ive never been in love. I think I should still be entitled to experience sex even if I never meet my soulmate.

Enjoy the physical act of sex all you want. But don't equate sex of 'hey let's feel good together' to the sex of 'I'll make you feel good for money'.
You cheapen the potential bliss you feel by giving it monetary value.

In what way does it require monetary value to acquire the resources to grow?

Go ask a grower back in 3000 BCE how he did and he would tell you, "It's simple. It is a naturally reoccurring phenomenon in nature and if you know enough about it's nature, you can prepare it for free..."

Since when did money equate to happiness anyways? Fucking christ I have all the free spending cash I want and I'm not happy... I'm fucking miserable working two jobs to pay my bills and also going to school full time and I have a 3.89 GPA.

Maybe you should work harder....

Happiness is completely dependent on the person. Just because you have plenty of cash and aren't happy doesn't mean money doesn't equal happiness for others. 3.89 GPA but you fail to understand that not everyone is exactly like you..
