Doing Poor Man's Syringe Tek

Hey guys, I'm doing the poor man's syringe tek (Using a fully inoculated brf cake to make syringes). I've used it before and had some success, since it's mycelium instead of spores it seems to inoculate faster. However I've heard some mixed info. One person said when doing this tek you need to use the syringes right away. Someone else said you should incubate the syringes for 3-5 days before using them. Anyone used BRF cakes to make syringes before? Any advice or word on how long they last/how long I have to wait to use them?

do you intend to put the cake in the blender and mix it with water then, or how does that work? I guess sterlity may be a problem.

No, the basic idea is to put a spoonful of karo in a mason jar of water, sterilize it, use syringes to suck up the water, squirt it in the side of a fully colonized brf cake while it's still in the jar, swirl it around, and then suck it back up. Combine all the sucked up mycelium in the original jar to dilute it, and then suck it up to create full syringes. It worked well for me when I tried it, and it seems like it's a decent way to get a good supply of syringes without worrying about contaminating a spore print. Just wondering if anyone else has experience in this or could provide some insight before I do it.

actually the tek may not be so stupid. Quite simple at least. You may break or bend the needle of the syringe, and waste a cake, but its an idea, actually.
If you use Karo or any other nutrient, then you´ll get an LC which should not be put into the fridge. You put it into a warm place where the myc can grow, not in a syringe but in a glass with a tyvec filter. It will be fine for months. For instant use, leave the Karo away and use just sterilised water.
