You are where you belong, this is where you be you see, any thought that is against that relaxation you shall put it to death. You are now at peace and the best of your quest is yet to come . You deserve to feel good You deserve to be forgiven You deserve to be loved you deserve to know that your amazing just the way you are.  And by the way jesus loves you

Jesus cannot love me cause he's dead.  The above sounds like a hypnotic suggestion.

Death is a myth. Jesus explains in the Bible, the Lord of hosts, the of God Isaac, Abraham and Jacob, is the God of the living.

"Whoever discovers the meaning of these sayings, shall not taste death".

"Amen, Amen I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM". What do you think the meaning of that saying is Mr. Icelander?

I'll give you a hint. What you call life and death, are all states of mind. Or as the Old Testament puts it "Good and evil, death and life, their absolute mistress is the tongue". They are thing which occur in time. Yet the very existence of time, implies eternity. How could you have time without eternity? Eternity is simply the other side of time. But eternity is not some far off time, it's just as much eternity right now as it ever was. So, the more mind identified you are, the more death is inevitable but the more you identify with eternity, the more of an impossibility death becomes. How could you die? where would you go? There's nowhere to go! The eternal existence is present everywhere always. What we call time is simply a dimension of mind. That which is beyond the mind, cannot be affected by anything that happens in time.

You are the eternal existence right now majestically performing a dance which could be called the life of icelander, shroomery member and brave explorer. Does it make sense to look yourself as anything other than the eternal existence dearest icelander?

Doesn't matter what some book says imo if it doesn't seem to conform to what we see and experience everyday.  You can believe in whatever you want of course for whatever reasons you need to believe in something. This seems to be  how it goes.

Hey Icelander you should listen to what you read in books more often, I can cast many spells since reading Harry Potter books, I'm a real wizard now.  :wizard:

Oh I agree, the reason I selected those quotes is because they do seem to conform to what we see and experience every day. Is it mere coincidence that these ancient "sacred" writings match our experience of life so exactly and are poetically beautiful to boot? Or is that dynamite combination perhaps one of the reasons they stood the test of time? If nothing else, I would love to know what you think Christ meant when he said "before Abraham was, I AM.

Obviously I can believe whatever just as you are doing by believing in death. If you just want to hold onto the beliefs you have and not discuss this topic that is fine.

But I thought this might turn into an interesting discussion.

Everything about our experiences supports the notion of life being eternal. It doesn't require any beliefs, if one simply thinks of nothing and abides in the suchness of the present moment, the past and future vanish and eternity is what's left. Death on the other hand, is the thought of some future event. You must hold onto to a belief system in order to believe in death.

I assert that what you call death is a mental process. Time exists within you, not you within time. There is no aspect of your experience suggesting otherwise.

I realize I probably come off as arrogant, overly self assured, possibly even a little batty. But what is one to do once they have understood something that the average man does not yet realize?

Imagine were I to be among a group of folks who came to understand that the world was round back in the day when near everyone believed 'twas flat as a pancake. What was I to do? Keep it to myself? Thing is, if I went around telling people the round was world, I would have been apt to generate responses very much likes yours.

People perhaps would have found me to be one bun short of a dozen. If I insisted they would have said, "that's nice dear, if it makes you feel better to believe that go right ahead. But there's no way you can actually know that and to me it looks flat and so long as I believe its flat I dont need to stretch my mind at all so that is what I am going to believe".

But you see, it's only from the point of view of the flat earth folks that the world seems so flat or that proving otherwise seems so difficult. Once you realized that the thing is round, it's friggin' obvious. That's how it is with this spiritual material. To me the fact that we are on the continuation of the life process that has been here, everywhere and nowhere forever is obvious. The notion of individual existence is just as absurd as the flat earth theory. Where does the individual self come from and how can it separate from the rest of existence? Going back to me lottery number pool analogy from another thread, each of our lives is a unique combination but just as no new "self" is created when you pick the numbers (you have just arranged the old, universal "Self" in a new way. As the Bible says, there is nothing new under the sun.

I cast successful spells daily.  I gave a demonstration to a friend yesterday and they didn't even know what hit them. :satansmoking:
