west of Eugene, Oregon near Whittaker Creek.

Chicken of the woods.
much like a sponge to flavor when cooked with texture like chicken.
Chanterelles.
found in open clearance along little hillside. first find and taste of the chanterelle. cooked to dehydrate where the flavor was deliciously noticed.
? unknown ?
found one smaller log of fallen branch. thin bodied.
? unknown ?
friend found attached to tree log. hoping to find of some medicinal value as 'turkey tails.'
? unknown ?
found growing up from falling tree branches.
went out looking to find the chanterelle. so very glad found the little amount for the hours hunt. chicken of the woods was a fun find for there was more than picked. wanted to leave some space in the bag for hopes of more chanterelles, which did not happen, or would've picked the two shoe box size growth of chickens. others, have no idea, but will do some research.
FunGuy fun day.

I'm sure someone else will chime in here, but those chants look rather suspect to me, but it's a bad pic. Please disregard if you know your chanterelles... I won't call it unless I can see the false gills clearly.
The little conks could be any number of things, hard to tell from the pics, looks like the color is shifted way off.
Next to last, Ganoderma applanatum, artist conk. Last one, I think is called black footed polypore, too lazy to look up the correct name.
-------------------- "Shrub, 30-90 cm. Leaves 2.5-) 4-9 cm, sessile or amplexicaul, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse or rounded to subapiculate or subacute, when crushed not smelling of goats." "The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."

Hi. Try Hymenochaete rubiginosa, Ganoderma appalanatum or G. australe and Polyporus durus.
