Nature is a mind of some sort. It is not a catch-all concept for a bunch of living stuff that spawned because of laws. Nature is a mind. The sun and the clouds aren't even physical entities, whether or not the sun is out where you are is dependent on your cognitive state. This is how it is, it's a mental construct, all within one self. It may not have been put there by anyone, which just adds to the strangeness, but who is there but you anyway?

I agree every act of nature is behind a mind, its the designer of consciousness. Its fully aware of what it is and its all knowing in perfected purpose. It doesn't have a beginning and nothing has the power to create it. Its beauty is witnessed by all and its love is displayed to see. Good post circastes

Nice flat declarations with zero substantiation. Why just make stuff up?
Here is an image of a lion 'loving' a zebra. What kind of sick entity would set up such a system of brutality?

There's no evidence the actions of the universe stem from a cognitive function, though there is evidence cognitive functions stem from the actions of the universe.

Here's something worse, something horrible. The images contained in this link cover a very gruesome and common disease - gangrene. Imagine your body rotting while you're still alive.

All of us will die, we have to live with that knowledge. Most of us will be in considerable pain for awhile before death comes. Is this the work of a loving universe?

Why do people assume death is some kind of ultimate end?
What if God is all beings and God is a mighty being, so it plays intense games, like the brutality in mammalia food chains?
Pretty awesome to go through intense, brutal experiences if you're God and nothing harms you anyway.
It's this preoccupation with self-ness or selfhood that makes us fear so much, if we'd only recognise Who we are we'd come off the pretending and see ourselves for our glorious Self, and see why We or It plays such games.

With a bit of deduction, one can conclude that yes, the universe DOES know it is intelligent:
What is the universe? The universe is everything——all of existence.
Existence includes all animals on this very planet, humans included.
Man, a fraction of the universe itself, created the concept of 'intelligence'. Thus, we know ourselves to be intelligent.
As such, we know the universe itself to be intelligent in the form of humanity.
I'd say that notion itself is basis for everything that separates humans from other animals, setting us apart.

I mean, you really are God. I've beat around the bush with this because, frankly, I haven't been able to think too clearly with a psychiatric illness, but it's 100% certain for me now.
The whole thing is a beautiful drama or ride where you lose Yourself and get stuck in the most painful and also wonderful games with Yourself.
The only thing that will convince you is to remember yourself and experience what in fact you are.

When the universe contrives to create a receiver, a nervous system, then the universe can become aware of itself in different measures, depending upon the sophistication of the nervous system. So, 'God' experiences God through every animal, plant, and for all I know, mineral, according to its capacity. I remember building a crystal radio that received radio stations through a coil of wire and a single Germanium diode. I learned how to use a rusty (oxidized) razor blade and a piece of graphite pencil lead (trench radio), or a bit of raw Gallium arsenide instead of the diode. In fact, through a section of oxidized aluminum rain gutter over the front door of my parents' house, I could periodically hear intermittently, partial transmissions WVNJ, a local NJ radio station. If I tuned into it on a radio, it matched the amplitude of the vibrations that were coming through two sections of oxidized aluminum. This is just an analogy of how "Creative Intelligence" (as it's called in Transcendental Meditation®) becomes conscious and self-conscious.
If Awareness is the infrastructure of Reality as Buddhism suggests, then perhaps Plato was also correct about Pure Ideas inherent in it, and those Ideas are picked up by the most finely-tuned nervous systems, converted to thoughts, words, schematics, inventions, and hence our human-made physical world. Then the Creative Intelligence (god) gets to see through electron microscopes, Hubble space telescope, and human minds under the influence of Entheogens.

You post things I agree with that have nothing to do with whether the universe is intelligent. I agree that in a way a human can be the universe pondering itself, enjoying itself, hating itself, killing itself, loving itself... etc. But saying the universe is intelligent could be taken to mean other things. I don't see any reason to believe in them so it seems best to refrain and not deal with the cognitive dissonance I would surely experience as a result of holding a belief I could not support with my own logic. This isn't about my 'life outlook' but about what seems true. Not anthropomorphizing the entire universe doesn't make me gloomy.

Set Theory may apply here. The question at hand can be rephrased as, "Is the phenomenon of intelligence a subset of the Universe, or is it a superset of the Universe, or are the sets of intelligence and the Universe in complete union with no over- or under-lapping?"
I, for one, appear to exist as a subsystem of the Universe and I arguably possess some rudimentary intelligence. If I can point to at least one other subsystem of the Universe that does not share this feature, then what does that say about the Universe as a whole?
Let's play around with this s'more. If I define my consciousness (as in the state of processing conceptual and perceptual information) as a subsystem of my physical body, does this make only parts of my body 'conscious'? Or rather than a superset-subset relationship, is there a union (in Set Theory terms) between my body and my consciousness, while the larger environment (e.g. Earth) remains a superset to the subset phenomenon of my consciousness?
