Here are pictures of the 2 mushrooms. the 2 stems in 1 picture are part of 1 broken stem

could be pan subs?
Habitat: grassy field, growing in the grass, sparse group
Gills: chocolate lab brown
Stem: long, thin, brown to light brown at parts
Cap: brown with uneven color, curved up at edge
Spore print color: black
Location: Pennsylvania, USA.

I took an overnight spore print. Definitely jet black. Also noticed the stem has a spiral pattern like its twisted.

Hey, sorry you haven't had any replies...
Everything seems to line up with Panaeolus cinctulus, the cap is a bit funky though. Any photos of the spore print?

I can't make a confident suggestion based on the photos of your prints. I'm not seeing any shades of brown or purple, they seem black, but your photos are hazy and the prints aren't heavy.
How do they look to you? Are you observing a jet black color? Or do they have other shades of color?

that isn't a black print. they are foes.

That's what I was thinking. Is it me, or do Foenisecii have brittle snapping stipes?

The spore print color seems off in the photos. Might be LED flash or camera color balance. I saw the same in another thread. Anyway it looks black to me and i got a bunch more to upload more photos and prints, but some of the caps look different.
Advice appreciated, thanks!

This has 0 relevance if its Panaeolina or Panaeolus, it varies for both.
