Made some candy cap mushroom shortbread cookies last night.

This recipe always delivers. Such an amazing little mushroom.

Thank you to riparianzonejunky for the mushrooms. I traded two sleeves of
petri dishes for 1 1/5 cups dried candy caps. :lol:

Some kind of beech.  In the beech forests back east they host cantherellus cinnibarinus.

Ive never found Hericium before :sad: I think its because I rarely see the ideal wood types here on the coast. Im really looking forward to tasting it one day though.
