Well, I am here enough to start my own thread.

I went out today to check some cyan spots and it was dry as a bone!

Nearly no fungi to speak of.

Well I took these photos.

Holy hell.that spider looks angry! You know what type of spider that is? Really cool whatever it is! Like thorns coming off his legs...heck of a defense he has!

Its a harmless orb weaver, those thorns are actually setae and are not meant for defense.  See this article for more information.

Ive been keeping my eye out and checking a dozen or so coastal patches regularly, most of them are way too dry. All the patches that i have kept well hydrated have myc poking through the surface throughout them but no sign of pins at all yet. I think the daily temps are still too damn high. Its supposed to be thunder storms today and a short walk had me sweating, its a hot summer day out instead.

Found three more of those Xerocomus type boletes in my front yard.

Only have pictures of this one as the others are tiny!
