So basically as far as i can remember in my life ive probably heard owls on a handful of times and even then they were probably like far in the distance and only faintly making noise
Then yesterday at my friends house there was two nearby owls hooting loud as fuq and crystal clear loudness
Now theres one tonight thats making its calling so loudly its echoing all around
Also hella sacadas have been around here these past few months and apparently they had been gone for like 11 years and now theyre back
So like post cool owl pictures or talk about them or like about a new type of animal thats been around ur area recently or somthin

I have never heard an owl in the wild before. Apparently we do have them though. A few days back I saw a sparrow hawk in the bushes plucking the feathers or fur off something, I thought that was cool.
Also I saw big fully grown cows in a cow field bouncing around just like spring lambs do. Their big fat cumbersome-looking bodies were rippling all over and they just seemed so playful, it was hilarious!

I hear owls in my backyard occasionally.
I hear a lot of weird shit in my woods, coyotes, raccoons mating/fighting, animals being murdered by other animals, etc...
I get scared sitting on my back porch porch sometimes.
and fuck cicadas, I hate them, I'm not sure why, thtey just wierd.
I've noticed a lot more bees around than usual. I killed some type of hornet in my garage a few nights ago, it had to be nearly 3 inches long.

I've seen an owl only once.. But fuck, if it wasn't one of the coolest things ever!!
It was a Eurasian Eagle-Owl which is friggin huge and looks so cool
We were at a summer house, about to sit down for dinner, when I suddenly heard some noise from up in the trees, and there it was. Staring RIGHT into my eyes, which startled me a bit
I turned my head for a second, looked back at the owl but it was gone. Then, it came out of nowhere, dived and attacked a small mouse or a mole or something, flew back to where it was before and started to eat its catch.
Fucking awesome creature

I don't suppose you've ever thought of "the nutritional value of cicadas (think of them as the "shrimpts of the earth", say aficionados). They are high in protein, low in fat, and low in carbohydrates and, thanks to their tree root diet, said to have an asparagus-like flavour when eaten raw or boiled." Sounds scrummy.

I have heard owls, but don't recall ever seeing them.
Our bee population was sadly hit by a long cold spring this year. I was literally seeing more bee bodies than feeding bees for a few months.>

The bottom one was dead, the one above was still in this position when I took another picture later.

Owls are awesome! And I love listening to cicadas, especially when you're in the woods and there are tons of them.

The owls, they tell me to burn things. I must obey my feathered masters.

This is the best post ever, if only for the fact that OP got everything about cicadas wrong, right down to the spelling of cicada.
Also, I got dive bombed by an owl last year. It looked like this:
 Whooooosh!
My story wins.
(Thanks laurelei - I couldn't have provided this full on multimedia experience without your image)
Also also, a few years ago there was a black bear in my backyard and reporters came and wrote newspaper articles and did TV interviews with my neighbor who saw it. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/06/28/AR2007062802805.html
But, tell us more about the cicadas, OP.
