Well, as long as you guys have the wisdom to realize when it isn't, and give us the comfort we seek when it is one of those gray area times, then all should go smoothly, shouldn't it?
I get what is trying to be conveyed. That there's no point in wasting time whining about something when you could be fixing it. But sometimes it can't always be fixed, or can't be fixed immediately. But you're still upset about the situation so then what? Sometimes you just want to come home and vent about it, have some time to calm down, THEN think about fixing the problem.

That is all a wonderfully nuanced and accurate description of what some issues are. Nebulous and often incredibly changeable. But sometimes.................sometimes............................THERE'S A FUCKING NAIL IN YOUR HEAD.
There is a gender difference that is real even if it is being grossly exaggerated in this video. Men want to take care of the people around them in different ways than women do. Men are more concerned with protecting their loved ones from physical threats and women want to protect them more from emotional threats. Generally speaking, of course. Different styles of nurturing.

Yeah, I agree with everything you said there. Now if we could only learn to appreciate each other's differences and make use of them.

Tired gender stereotypes.
I know a dozen women who would pull the nail out of their head without a second thought.
And a dozen men that would bitch about a nail in their head for hours, fishing for pity.
And vice-versa.
People spend so much time bitching about how women are so crazy and emotional. When women act reasonable, people ignore them or declare that they're acting masculine and unpleasant. There's no winning this shit because the accusing party is always just an asshole that wants to feel superior.

The video doesn't even specify that this is a gender-specific issue. This thread does, though.

i originally created this thread with a very tongue in cheek intention. If anyone took me seriously i apologize. If any 'truth' comes from the video its just that women tend to be more emotional creatures while men tend to be more pragmatic. Neither is superior, both have their place.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the characters' scripts weren't reversed.
She doesn't strike me as an emotional communicator so much as an irrational pain in the ass looking to start a fight. Yes, plenty of women are really like that, so the video isn't "wrong," but I don't find them funny, I find them frustrating, and I sure as hell don't think that of women in general.
Surely everyone here has had someone in the past say something cruel or inaccurate about them, then claim it was, "just a joke." It was probably really funny to a lot of people too... except for the person it was about.
