Fridge Oysters?
    #18867527 - 09/20/13 12:38 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

I found Wild bird seed Blue oyster spawn in the fridge...
with little pins? I think, I'm not sure.
No big deal, I was just wondering if these pins look like
they have been deprived of light and I took them out
of the fridge 30 hours ago and placed in indirect bright light.

I honestly don't know if these are even blue oyster pins,
they don't look like the ones I've seen in a few photos.

cheers

I also have some myc in my fridge hoping it would slow the growth, but it's still growing.

Yeah they look like oyster pins.  Well, maybe a little past pin stage... are you going to still use it as spawn or try to fruit from that jar?

Have some medicinal mushrooms and want to get the most out of them?  Try this double extraction method.

Blue oysters are a cold weather variety, they will happily grow at fridge temperatures.  The extreme dryness and lack of light and FEA will cause fruiting issue though.

Wow that took a while, but

the spawn was dead for weeks but I saw a long
big oyster inside today
Same jar.
Do these look normal for blue Oysters?
