Shrooms rom Kodaikanal, India

A friend got these from kodaikanal, india last week, wonder if they're cubensis / libery caps? They were already dried (sun dried probably) and stored in a plastic bag that had some condensation. I dried them out some more under the fan, and now most of them look like they have a few spots of white mold on them.
Do you think it's ok to consume? Can I clean the mold off in any way? Or is there something else I could do?

Given their current condition, I don't think anyone can tell you what they are. Even if they were active I personally would not eat them in that state. I think the rot and mold would make me sick.

don't eat moldy mushrooms

i would have to see them in person to say anything. and you can scope them to find out. But these dont look too good. From what Alan says people eat some gnarly looking ones in mexico and have no problems, causes vomiting for most people anyways, a tiny bit of white mold wont usually hurt, but if you are sensitive like me to fungi, it can wreak you. Be careful, dont eat these at least without micro. I dont think it would be worth it to scope though.
