Acacia Confusa defat question

Hello
I have a question regarding ACRB A/B extraction. I've only worked with MHRB, and I don't see it around anymore.
I've read people using a tek recommending freezing and thawing powdered ACRB several times instead of defat. Then acidify with 5% acetic acid, with 3 pulls while simmering. The rest I am more knowledgable of...
The tek didn't say to defat with a np solvent though(I only have limonene so I don't want to waste much). It was confusing...
Is the freezing/thawing an alternative to defat? Or do you still have to defat? I have 500g in the freezer. Trying this wont hurt..It's gonna take way longer than STB, but I have the weekend, so no complaints here.
Thanks for reading

Lysing won't replace the defat. Idk if limonene would be too broad of a spectrum for the defat either. I'm pretty sure naptha is ideal.

Naphtha you say? I was really trying to avoid that.
Here's what confused me.(posted by cyb dmt-nexus): .................. deadhor5 wrote: so if im working with your tek, could i do the tek as normal until i add the base and then let that sit for 12+ hours? or would a base soak only apply if im doing an stb?
Well as CTM has corrected my misunderstanding (thanks ) If you have time on your hands...you could:
*Freeze/Thaw multiple times *Follow tek with a long acid soak. *Make a heavy saline solution and add to the acid soak (whatever amount your bottle requires) *Add base to 12ph or so *Warm up and soak for a while *Add NPS and continue...
Sounds like a plan...
'I push pixels...' all txt is IMO, IME or AFAIK Cybs' Hybrid ATB 'Salt' Tek "Reserve the right to change your mind at any given moment..." MAX ION tek .............
The tek does not state to add np solvent after freezing/thawing. It is only required after acid and base are added.
I would ask the question there, but I don't have an account....yet

The defat goes between the acid step and the base step. The idea is to convert the n,n-dmt to dmt acetate, which is not taken up by the nps, but the plant oils are. Then you basify to convert back to n,n-dmt wait then pull the alks out.

I GET it now. Guess defat is inevitable for acacia then, without ending up with unworkable goo. And I don't wanna spend all my time on a crappy yield.

I don't want THIS to happen to me...
Dmt nexus............ When i did my first extraction i used an a/b with an extensive defat, i yielded less then 300 mg from an lb. as i posted earlier in this post, when i followed your tek to a t with acrb, i got 745 mg of clean yellowish crystals, that was without a re-x either. ...............
I have about a pound(500 of 454g). I would be happy with .7g+ out of my first acacia extraction. For reference(courtesy cyb):

I will just replace lye and naphtha with 98% Ca(OH)2 and limonene. Limonene doesn't require warm temperatures to efficiently dissolve alkaloids. although I know limonene is more polar than naphtha, I'm happy with a broader spectrum extract

I'm not sure, I haven't preformed a good extraction on acrb yet. I just know the steps. You should check out thick light's acrb tek on the nexus he got upwards of 6g+ from a pound.
