let it be known!
i am more than glad i was able to grow up in the 90s. during the summers from age 7+ i was outside from sun up to sun down. fuck a school bus. if i wasnt getting kicked off i was either riding my bike or walking.

Bummer, you can probably find a working copy for 10-20 bucks though.
AFAIK all of my N64 games are in working order, as are all my SNES games. Most of my NES games work too but a couple are hit-and-miss. Have to spend 10 minutes blowing on the cartridge just like old times
Lately I've been considering looking for another NES and SNES console to have "just in case". And just for the novelty. A top-loading NES and the more circular SNES (whereas the ones I have now are the "standard" models)

Yeah a top-loading NES would be cool to have, the front loaders were such a shitty design.

ya maybe if it was really dusty i found that works best is to put the game in, click it down, then put my index fingers in each side and slightly move it around till i hit a sweet spot

kick the ball into a corner, decap heads, and score with them :-)

same, i was born in 84. too young to really get anything out of the 80s, but old enough to get the best out of the 90s. 84 was a good year to be born. well besides having to grow through our near shitty future.

There was a color version of Oregon trail? You spoiled bastard! This is the one I used to play at first:

Then we upgraded to this one:

And that was as advanced as it got.
Also I played the shit out of some SimCity. I be building biodomes like a mofo. Also used cheats and caused a lot of natural disasters. The monster robot thing was the worst one.
More 90s goodness:

i was searching 90's toys, and found this, i still have the castle but lost all the other stuff
anyone know of the toy that used metal strips(sorta shaped like a popsicle stick) with holes punched in it, and had a wrench, bolts and nuts and you could build things with it?
also mighty max

gotta love me!
shit, i dont even remember what this is, but i know i had all of them

i stopped buying these after 2 cause i kept breaking them

I remember when I was about 10 years old I had a Stretch Armstrong thing and an emperor scorpion that I never saw sting anything. So I sat the Stretch Armstrong on the scorpion's back and he stung the shit out of that Stretch Armstrong. It ruined the damn thing forever. Try to stretch it and the goo leaked out of the holes where the scorpion stung it.
This is what those scorpions looked like, they became popular in the 90s, so they're kinda a 90s thing:

mario1/2/3,zelda,turtles,lolo,star fox,donkey kong,sonic the hedgehog,alex the kid,... :-)
sensible soccer,brutal sports football,lost vikings,syndicate,cannon fodder,north & south,mortal kombat 2,gunship 2000,flight of the amazon queen,primal rage,alien breed 3d,nuclear war,red baron,ports of call,kick off,giana sisters,cool spot,zool,digital illusions pinball
amiga 1200, workbench, 1200 floppies in a large pile in a huge box, 2 floppy drives so I only had to switch floppy rarely (most games were 1-4 disks), 3 copies of all the good 4-floppy games as floppies/floppy drives often died, 12" blackwhite TV as a monitor but later upgraded to 21" with COLOR :-) network play over nullmodem cable
TV monitors being 21" CRT (or less) with computer monitors being 14" large square boxes if you even had a computer (first had a home pc in late 1996, windows 95) doom 1 being the ultimate pc game, you had to get a pc just to play it
no cell phones, you buy a paycard for the payphone down the corner of the street or just call early in the morning and make agreement when to meet, and then noone shows up
no laptops , that was really unusual at that time, very expensive, and no internet on them usually
no internet, internet first came late in the 90s at the library windows 3.11, netscape navigator, 1 minute dialup tone, 1-2 mins to open a webpage wikipedia could be fit on a cd (650MB) at that time, today it fills many TB
no scooters, either you get a car or an old mopeds that starts in 30th try (now they're everywhere)
cd drives were unusual in a pc(most still used floppies), but at the library they had tripple-cd drive caddy loaders, impressive
no google, ignorance was bliss ;P , there was altavista though
oh... nokia 3310, that was a good phone :-D , could everything a phone should be able to first got my first cellphone in 2000 I think
starcraft,quake2 was the best game of the 90s , and the only game you needed if you didn't have a pc/or your internet was much too slow, you would go to a netcafe to pay and play but then came cs1.5, that was pretty good too(from quake2 engine)
funny... not even everyone had a landline phone at that time, in the 90s where I lived :P they had to borrow the neighbors lol
