I'm thinking of order some to use in the SAB, but can I reuse them or are they designed to be disposable? Do they need to be washed and if so can you just throw them in the washing machine? Likewise how do you store them in between uses to keep them clean? I'd imagine putting them in a closet or drawer would get them dusty defeating the purpose.

Sorry, but that's hard to understand. Wash and dry before use, or just dry before every use? Is the tumble dry because they will fall apart/degrade with heat? If so do they require cold water only during the wash?

I imagine he means wash, then tumble dry using high heat, each and every time right before you use them.

Ok, cool. Do they typically come sterile or should I even do that the first time I use it?

I'd doubt they'd be sterile unless they came marked as such, probably a good idea to give them a wash or a wipe before use

What I do with my still air box is wash my hands and arms. Dry with clean paper towel. Put on regular gloves.
I have a bit of experience doing agar this way recently and out of many dishes I only got what I belive to be some sort of white bacteria on just one dish. Which I then transferred to another one and it was no big deal.
