R.I.P. threads are one of the only types of threads that I read every single word in.
It's crazy how the death of somebody who I have never met and have had few if any memorable interactions with can hit so close to home. I definitely teared up a little while reading this thread. It is always a tragedy to lose a brother or sister. I truly believe that the Shroomery is the best community on the internet and when we lose a member to addiction, prison, death, or whatever other reasons, it really affects us all.
I am so sorry that this happened and I hope that whatever demons TrancedShroom were facing are but whispers in the wind of a greater cosmic symphony that he is now a part of, floating through the universal consciousness. I send my love to all of his friends and family, and to all of the Shroomery family affected by this tragedy.
May you rest in peace brother. Always and forever.

Its not easy being strung out. I remember half hoping I was going to die when I got shot I was so fucking miserable with everything. The suffering is gone though.
Thank God!

RIP to a fellow Shroomerite. I remember conversing with him on the boards a few times, but never got to know him that well. It's unfortunate some of us go on to try the harder, more dangerous drugs out of curiosity instead of sticking to pot and psychedelics.
I for one almost wish I'd never tried opiates. I say almost because without having tried it I wouldn't be the same person I am today, but still--I know I would have missed out on a helluva lot of suffering if I hadn't smoked that first little chunk of black tar. I'm on methadone now which has been an absolute lifesaver but truth be told I still use every so often. Threads like these are definitely a useful reminder to stop before it's too late.

It's forgiving yourself, too, that's the trick. How can we come to peace with all the wasted years and neglected friends and deceived and mistreated family and the long-term implications and knowing your whole life got shifted back X number of years... ?
I'm glad you're not suffering.
